Loosely Woven
A very loosely woven gauze, like cheesecloth. Not what I was expecting, but I'm assuming that's just how gauze surgical sponges are. They are still decently absorbent, and work for what I need (patting dry after cleaning a piercing). Plus, I don't feel like I'm wasting anything when I throw one away!

Less than 2x2 and cheaply made!
The cheapest, smallest gauze 2x2's I have seen in my life. They are poorly made, smaller than 2x2, thin and the package was small about 5 inches of 2x2's. Don't waste your time with these, they are garbage.

Alright for small wounds
Good for cleaning and covering small wounds. These are thin and not absorbent at all so they can't be used on wounds that need to be packed or leak.
