A GOOD CHOICE
I needed a lightweight rolling backpack that will fit in a US Domestic airline overhead bin and might be stowable under the seat.I own the Osprey rolling backpack for five years and replaced it with the Matein. These are the only two rolling backpacks (Osprey and Matein) that have a handle with two arms. All the others I found had only one arm handles. Only a two arm handle can accomodate a "slide on" carry item. If you only have a rolling handle with only one arm any carry on piece you try to attach will spin around to the front and/or rear of the bag and make it impossible to roll the suitcase/backpack. So after eliminating 90% of the other rolling backpacks and rolling duffels I only had two choices: Osprey and Matein, of which I know own both.On my last trip I took the Matein and found it more to my liking than the Osprey. The Osprey is a very well made and executed backpack. It has an array of features and a very sturdy roll carriage. The backpack system is robust, dynamic and adjustable: an important aspect if you are backpacking and carry the bag on your back while hiking in a 'wilderness' situation. I don't do that. I travel for business and sometimes pleasure in the US and Europe. I do not need a robust backpack system for a carry situation. The only times I have to carry on my back is if I can't roll the bag on cobbelstone streets, stairs, and other situations where I only have to backpack the bag for brief times. Having a robust system is great but for my use it is unneeded and takes space from the packing capacity, makes the bag bulkier and larger and unwieldy and has a backpacker look. The Matein bag is inches smaller than the Osprey, has a more modest look and is somewhat elegant in that it does not present as a big backpack for expedition use.The cons (problems) with the Matein bag are easily corrected and I hope the manufacturer sees my comments and makes the changes: 1) The zippers are an "off brand" and look weak but have not failed so maybe its. vanity to want "branded" zippers 2) The zippers should (don't now) be able to open from either end of the zipper so they should use a zipper that can be unzipped with two rather than one zipper pull. 3) The smallest zippered pocket on the top of the bag is too small for an iphone or a wallet: it needs to be an inch or two larger in both directions and should have bellow expansion so it can hold more items such as glasses in a case and my iphone. 4) the fabic used to construct the bag is light and has a good look but I would like to see a fabric that has a little stretch in it 5) Add an expansion feature so if (which always happens) I return from a trip with more items than I started out with I can expand the bag: signifcantly would be better (like a 3 inch expansion capacity). I understand the bag would no longer be a carry-on and would have to go as baggage but in my experience I only need the capacity on the final leg or return flight and having an expansion feature would be something I very much want knowing that I have to put the pack on the plane and baggage and wait for it at the arrival airport. Most of us travellers do this anyway (send something on the plane as baggage on the final leg of the trip) so having the option of expanding the rolling backpack would be a homerun for me.Other than those minor improvements the Matein bag as it currently is made is what I use on my travels and the Osprey is in the closet and I will lend it to a family member who needs a bulkier more robust rolling backpack.

Great Quality and Very Comfort
I love this backpack. I bought it to go to a festival thinking I was only going to use it to store items that I purchased at the festival which I did, but I also used it to store my my big lawn chair when I got tired of carrying the lawn chair. Of course the lawn chair was to big for the backpack, but the main compartment was deep enough to hold the chair in place , I was able to zip it to a point on both sides which kept it stable, and I was able to roll my backpack with the chair in it. The backpack rolled through grass without any problems and it never tipped over. I was able to use 4 wheels and 2 wheels whenever needed to get through the crowd. This was a great purchase!!!! It really saved my back!!! Can’t wait to use it for weekend getaways….It definitely has a lot of room and deep pockets!!!!

Best customer service, ever!
I bought this backpack because my little was having problems with the weight of all her items for school (middle-schooler, no school lockers, lunch box, notebooks, laptop, and only 98 lbs). She loves her backpack! I love this backpack! It’s on four, telescopic wheels, with a nice long handle, that has three positions. The wheels have a cover so you can carry it like a backpack, whenever you like, or need to. Mid-school year, her backpack broke- the interior liner cracked and the wheel would flop in, causing the bag to tilt over whenever it was left alone. We called Matein, just so I could inquire as to how I could send it in for repair… Well, they did a thing! They sent a new bag as a replacement, in less than a week! I was totally surprised! The new backpack is holding up, and is a true working member of this household! This backpack is well worth the price! It holds up to middle school traffic; is easy to clean; and has so much storage- it is a rolling locker on wheels! Amazing bag, and awesome customer service!

Perfectly adequate
It’s hard to find a carry on bag that will fit a 17” laptop. This one does, but the Velcro strap was not quite long enough. Luckily my partner is creative and good with a sowing machine so an extender solved that problem. There are plenty of pockets and the main compartment is roomier than the backpacking before. Handle is long enough and wheels are adequate (one I tried before was not quite long enough and only two wheels so I had to hunch over and kept hitting my own heels which was annoying). The handle feels a little rickety but all in all it seems like it will do the job. Considering that the nicer $200 range bag assumes everyone has a 15” MacBook, this will do just fine, though it is a little plain.

A very tough and relaible backpack
The actual backpack is quite tough and reliable, but here are my issues. I live where there is a lot of dirt, so over time the wheels gave out rather quickly, but for most people, this wouldn't really be an issue. Everything on the inside works as intended for a long time, unless otherwise in the dirt. Mine made a super big hole right in the middle of it because of the dirt, and that was not fun, but probably otherwise still good for most people. The handle gave out pretty quick, but I am not delicate with my things, so take that with a grain of salt. The side pocket for water bottles also tore quickly, but I was also putting pencils in there, so more salt.To sum up: Do not use in the dirt, you will ruin a really good backpack. And otherwise it is a really good backpack if I was not the owner.

Great quality
Exactly as described and same size as a regular backpack for school. This is helpful for kids in school without a locker for their supplies
