Shimano Disc Brake Bleed Kit, Pre-2012 Brakes, Shimano Mineral Oil

This kit has everything you will need. You have to know how to bleed/refill your disc brakes to use this kit. It have everything you will need but no instructions. I do wish the syringe had a better “grip” for the index/middle finger when pressing on the plunger with your thumb. Not a big deal, but it would have earned 5 stars in my review.If you are unfamiliar with how to bleed/refill the breaks watch a YouTube video or do this:1) loosen the brake handle and position it so the reservoir is level with the ground and loosen the valve so fluid can escape.2) Remove cap at the nipple on the caliber3) Fill syringe with brake fluid and make sure no air is in the tube/syringe4) Open valve on the caliber5) Mount tune on the nipple and fill enough fluid in to make the reservoir overflow a little.6) Close valveDone!The amount of fluid in this kit should fill at least 20 reservoirs completely depending on brake model.

Fixed older style brake in 15 minutes with this kit. Some reviews commented about the tight syringe calling it "sticky". Add a drop of mineral oil to the plunger and it gives you the perfect amount of resistance to apply a controlled amount of oil to the drop with zero air in the system. I fixed one brake and still have 2/3 of the oil left over.

I bought this for the syringe. The syringe is so sticky it's awful to use. Second issue is this syringe doesn't have a flow lock to create a vacuum in order to degas the mineral oil. On the bright side the hose didn't fall off and was very secure to the caliper. If it was any more expensive I'd give it 1 star.

I bought this kit and the Shimano oil funnel from different sellers. Together they worked great to fix my brakes.

This kit came exactly as pictured, was cheap, came with enough fluid to completely replace the fluid in front and rear brakes and was stupid easy to use. Plus it came with gloves to keep your paws clean...what more could you ask for? Nice job Bleed, keep up the good work!

I used this simple kit to back bleed the disc brakes on my bike. Everything worked like it should and i had plenty of fluid to do both the front and rear brake. Make sure you have a screw driver for the reservoir cover(phillips +) and small wrench for the bleed nut.

worked like a charm. The instructions were a bit vague but that is shimano's fault. Got my old xtrs back up and running. Will try on some new xt stuff soon.
