(48 state only) CAB KING 8" lapidary rock grinding polishing cabochon machine

This is a well built and powerful machine. I have had it for several weeks and am a rookie in the lapidary field. In those weeks I have made every mistake and this machine keeps on going, although I think I heard it chuckle a time or two at my lack of technique. It is as close to bullet proof as you can get.My grandchildren have fallen in love with it as well. The first thing I do when the parents are watching is put my fingers on the surface of a spinning wheel. They see immediately the machine will not hurt their children, relax, and leave the shop so the grandchildren and I can work together. (You should see the parents faces when I tap a diamond bladed saw, different machine, with my finger while it is running. I actually got a scream once.) I don't leave my grandchildren unsupervised, but with a minimum of instruction they see what little danger is there, and can concentrate on making a beautiful rock. They have the patience with all that noise, running water, and let's face it, the mess. And kids love rocks.The watering heads for the wheels could be better as they are very difficult to adjust and are the only cheaply produced element in the package. Also the little trays for the top of the machine (not shown) could use some rubber feet. But that was an easy fix.The machine was easy to assemble, made perfect sense, and I was up and running in an an hour, maybe less. I did know enough to get 3x5 gallon buckets before it showed up. Be sure to cut and arrange your drain lines at set up so they carry the water out freely. Others they will load up with sludge.Rocks, grandparent and grandchildren time together. Does it get any better?
