Be My Slave

Every metalhead in the 80's knows this cover. Advertised in all the magazines and lets face it - that cover is 80's metal delicious. The band isn't bad but the vocal tracks are just awful. Nothing against Betsy Bitch. Certainly it was recorded in ahurry and low budget but I don't think she's ever really in key. At least she has taken care of herself and performs today in better shape than she was then. Many aging rockers could take lessons on that regard as the bald/bearded/gut look so many are sporting is just ridiculous.Anyway not much to say other than the vocal tracks are unlistenable. I don't think the sounds are that bad its just so out and the vocals way to loud in the mix on top of it. Her voice isn't that bad she just didn't have a good ear for pitch and its irritating to say the least.People gush over this album because the image. She was a mean nasty rock woman dressed the way people wanted ... thus the tunes became irrelevant I guess. I cant listen to it. Recent live footage on the tube sounds better.

Bitch never quite made the big time back in the 80's,perhaps as well known for their s&m flirtations as much as their music!however if you've never checked them out your missing out on a great slab of 80's metal/rock.This a real raw sounding band,with attitude n energy oozing out of the speakers,think along the lines of the debut by W.A.S.P but with a female singer!Bands nowadays rarely capture the spirit of records like this,everything overplayed and sounding processed.This cd sounds like 4 metal loving guys(and gal) having fun!so to the re-release itself which is superbly done.You get the "damnation alley" ep added,both releases remastered.Plus you get a brilliant bonus dvd.the first half features various clips from 80's gigs,including their erm fun stage antics!then there is a gig from the Keep it True festival in 2011.25 plus years on n Betsy still looks and sounds great!( :I can't recommend this release enough,brilliant!
