German quality
I’ve been a Moleskin notebook guy for longer than I can remember. I go through a couple every year. Especially as I get older and need to write everything down just so I will remember. lol.But I’m one of those people who is always looking for something new and improved over my set ways. I heard about these things and finally decided to give them a try. Very happy that I have. I think the quality is about the same as Moleskin, but it’s the little details that have won me over. I can lay the notebook flat without breaking the spine. The pages are individually numbered with a table of contents at the beginning. Paper quality is outstanding, even my fountain pens don’t bleed through, though usually I am using either a Fisher bullet or Parker Jotter. Same elastic band to secure the notebook as Moleskin but also a little folder type thingy in the back.Oh, and there’s a few pages that are perforated so you can neatly tear them out. Nice little touches like that are what I like. And to top it all off? The cost is a bit lower. This is my first one so I’m just assuming based on my initial observations that they will be just as durable. As long as it is, I’ve found a new notebook.Highly recommendThanks for reading

This is the perfect pocket notebook
This is the perfect pocket notebook. Would be 5 stars except my bookmark strip got ripped out.Positives1. Page quality much better than Moleskine. No run, minimal bleed-through, doesn't tear easily.2. Numbered pages are great, as is the Table of Contents at the front.3. Perfect form-factor. Keep it in your pocket, front or rear, and it doesn't feel awkward to sit or stand with it in the crease of your pelvis.4. No cover delamination (happened on my Moleskine).5. Dot system is a nice featureNegatives1. Dots, page numbers could be more prominent2. My bookmark tore out from the spine.3. Pricey compared to competitorsSummaryThis is worth the purchase price. Will be buying in the future as my go-to pocket notebook

I am an avid journaler who carries my journals around in my pocket and takes them everywhere I go, so I really put my notebooks to the test. This book handled my rough treatment beautiful and the added features made for a nicely organized set up. I am a moleskine girl at heart, though. I turned to Leuchtturm when I found that Moleskine uses PVC (a toxic plastic carcinogen) in their covers and I sought out something similar that does NOT use PVC. The extra length and ink resistant pages threw me off a bit but that is entirely my personal taste, because to many people who use liquid or gel ink pens the ink resistant pages are a godsend. So if you are looking for sturdy and well organized notebook, and if you are not a habitual crappy pen user like I am, then I would highly recommend Leuchtturm1917.

German engineering for notebooks
Little moleskin-style notebook without the accompanying moleskine price. Stand out features include the three table of contents pages you can fill in, unobtrusive page numbers in the bottom left or right of each page, and several perforated pages at the end in case you need to remove a page for some reason. The first page gives you space to write your name and address in case it gets lost, and there's a spot for the date included at the top of every page--as someone who obsessively dates everything I write, I find that highly convenient. The lines in the notebook are clear enough to see with average eyesight but thin enough that it doesn't distract from whatever text may be written there. There's also a small pocket folder integrated into the back flap, though I personally only use it to store the archiving stickers that come with the notebook.

Dots lines or grid - about the same: brilliant
Dots are good but squares are just as good. I no longer have a preference, having seen both, because they are both faint enough that by the time you put dark ink on the page you no longer see the guide patterns much anyhow.Love these notebooks, better than Moleskine because the paper is silky smooth to write on, you get spine and cover labels, the pages are mercifilully numbered, there is an index and dueability is slightly better. Not much after slow long term abuse, but slightly. All told the superior pocket notebook. Recommended.

This is the best notebook in the world
This is my favorite notebook in the world. Soft cover, so you can fit it in a pocket if you need to. It bends nicely so that it's not annoying in your pocket. It has more pages than you'd get in a Field Notes notebook - about 120 which tends to make it last a little longer (which I like). Dotted paper - great for both taking notes and scribbling designs. Ink doesn't bleed, and the paper and whole notebook is of great quality. Beautiful details. I highly recommend adding their pen loop which makes sure you always have your favorite pen to write with. Highly recommended.

Superior to moleskine
This one has a couple less pages than the average softcover moleskine (which has become a rarity anyway for some reason), but is a heck of a lot better thought out. It's also cheaper. How is it better thought out? They did a couple of simple things:1) They numbered the pages2) They made a table of contents3) The included helpful stickers for making titles. This is huge; I have a stack of moleskines at this point, and the only way to organize them at a glance is to use sharpie on the edge4) The rubber band and bookmarks are made of sturdier material5) The paper is superior in quality.6) Finally, for the squares, for some reason, recent moleskines use VERY dark squares. Kikkerland doesn't.I'm assuming the spine quality is as good or better than moleskines (not hard to do; moleskines are not sturdy).Little notebooks are very helpful. It's about time someone did a better one. Hats off for Deutsche quality.

A joy to use
I used to use another well known A6 notebook but have found this to be a better quality - although slightly narrower. It fits well into my handbag or back pack. The paper is of a high quality and is fountain pen friendly with no bleed through. There are things it's doubtful I shall use, like the contents page, but that's just the way I use the book - for random jottings, sketches and notes rather than a specific subject.

Very very good quality
I was trying to find an alternative to Moleskine that I've used for years. I found this little books from a brand I knew when I was a Kid and collected stamps and coins - all the reviews were very good so I gave it a try.And in good time I did ! Awesome quality, paper is way way better than Moleskine and all the feeling is of a better quality product.

Nice little notebook
Like this notebook. It could be improved by having a pen holder. Nice quality paper. The cover can be wiped with a damp cloth.

Nice little notebook
Nice little notebook. Be aware that if, like me, you're a fan of the Leuchtturm hard cover books, the paper in this is not the same quality - it seems smoother but more absorbent. Still lies flat when open and the soft cover is nice and tactile.

Great little pocket book.
Superb little pocket sized notebook. I always cary it with me in my jacket pocket alongside my trusty fountain pen for taking notes on the go. The paper is very good quality and works well with fountain pens as well as ballpoints.
