Excellent and good value
The most successful use of Omega 3 is when it's taken regularly. This one comes in a good size bottle of 180 capsules and also includes 330mg EPA and 220mg DHA is each capsule. This is a really good combination and has the right balance to last for six months at one a day.I have not experienced any unpleasant smell from the bottle or aftertaste.

I WOULD BUY THIS PRODUCT
This must surely be the most talked-about supplement of all - and the most hyped, despite widespread scientific uncertainty about its true value. Most will surely remember that last year, in a research project involving more than 100,000 people, the Universities of East Anglia, Durham and Manchester announced that they had found no evidence that increasing the intake of omega-3 benefitted heart health. But it's not straightforward. Harvard University's medical school also carried out two studies last year, which found seemingly clear evidence of significant benefits for certain people. The first, involving almost 26,000, middle-aged, racially diverse people, showed that, for normally healthy folk who eat fish at least twice a week, it was indeed true that no benefits accrued - unless you were of African descent, in which case, strangely and so far inexplicably, there appeared to be a hugely significant benefit - a 77% reduction in heart attack for those receiving the omega-3 supplement, compared with those taking the placebo.Equally, for those who ate less than 1.5 portions of fish a week, or worse still, no fish at all, a 19% reduction in "major cardiovascular events" and a 40% reduction in heart attacks were recorded amongst those who took a one gram daily supplement, as compared with those who took the placebo.Mind you, I'm always mistrustful of percentage results; they don't really tell you a lot.The other research project involved distinctly unhealthy subjects, 8,000 middle-aged and older high-risk adults who had elevated triglyceride levels, and who were already on statins for the reduction of cholesterol. Amongst this population, there was a 25% reduction in the risk of dying from heart disease or suffering a cardiovascular event among those who took a 4 gram daily dose (ie, four of the tablets under review), compared with those who had the placebo. But there's a catch; this level of dose produces internal bleeding and increased heart rate (atrial fibrillation), thus exchanging one risk for another, possibly worse one; so don't do it, unless your doc thinks you should...It's a £30billion pound industry, I seem to recall, so there's a lot of money going into persuading you to buy this type of supplement, and the 1,000 hits from a search on Amazon underlines this. But without a laboratory, there's really no sensible way you can compare them, other than by price, There are some very silly prices, too, but this offering seems sensibly pitched, and has the added advantage of being made in the UK.I should think that most people buy these supplements thinking, it's better to be safe than sorry; I had a stroke 9 years ago, so that's the attitude I take, and I'll be happy to buy these, although four stars only because of the generic doubt. But it's obviously healthier to eat oily fish instead, if you can, and if you do, you don't need these supplements - unless, perhaps (and only perhaps), if you're African ?

Okay
These are okay. There is little in the way of flavour or smell. They are easy to swallow. The bottle seems fine. There is some evidence behind the claims made for Onega-3 supplementation but as usual I don't really notice any difference when I do or don't take them.

Better than some other Brands
Taking these Omega 3 capsules I didn't experience any bad side effects. In the past I had some issues such as stomach upset and fishy burps with other supplement brands. This soft gel capsules are easy to swallow and they're probably the same size as most of fish oil capsules.Overall great product.

Very Good Value
A full six months worth of Omega 3 capsules for less than £13. Not bad. These capsules are typical capsule size, easy to swallow and don't cause me or the wife any stomach problems or other unwanted side effects. For anyone who isn't getting adequate Omega 3 in their day to day diet taking one of these each day will be of great benefit.
