Adesso 7501-22 Pisces 73" Torchiere, Steel, Smart Outlet Compatible

I'm looking for something like this for some time, it has simple design, well balanced, plastic (acrylic, as per description) shade and you can install two 150-watt bulbs (bright!) in it, though I installed two 42-watt fluorescent lamps and use only high position of the switch (fluorescent lamps are flickering on low position).

I have bought over a dozen of these floor lamps over the past ten years. They look good and are relatively cheap - give good light and fit well into a modern décor. But every one has the same problem - the switch falls off after a short time. Actually happened last night to the lamp I bought a few months ago. It is such an obvious defect. Everyone complains about it. Why they don't update the design is beyond me. I guess they make a lot of money on people who throw the lamp away and buy another one as it only costs about $56 or so at Amazon and with Prime shipping is free. Stupid! Impossible to return after assembling the lamp and throwing out the packaging. Not worth time to disassemble and repackage.

This lamp is a great price, solidly constructed, and looks elegant. Some people don't like the plastic shade, but I think it looks fine and passes for glass unless you look really closely. Unfortunately, after a few days the light started turning off randomly, and you have to jiggle the on/off switch to get it on again. Maybe it was a fluke, my sister has the same lamp and hers has worked perfectly for months. I love the lamp otherwise, I'll ask for a replacement instead of a refund.

Listen to the people that are warning you not to purchase this product. My plastic lamp shade already has 2 large burn holes in it because the shade is cheap. My dimmer switch is broken, so I can not even consistently turn on or off the lamp. I have not even owned the lamp for a full year.June 6, 2019 - I added 2 photos of the lamp, so what I stated above will be easier to understand.

this lamp is cheaply made and if it was going to get a lot of use, i.e. turning off and on, than it might not last, but it sits in a corner and is turned on through a wall switch. So for us, it works great. It is set up for two bulbs which puts out a lot of light. We really like the extra light!

This 150w x 2 bulb lamp is the best, most reasonably priced product in the market with little or no defect.I have 5 of them in my home, and they are very bright and evergy efficient when you use flourescent bulbs.After few years, the plastic starts to turn yellowish from the bulb heat, but you can't expect it to lastforever if it's a $75 lamp. It does what it's supposed to do, and does it very well.Highly recommended. Will continue to by this when we move to a larger place in couple of years.

This is a really nice lamp. It is slim and stylish -- not clunky like so many others. It is balanced well and sits nicely on my new, fluffy carpeting. I have a curly fluorescent bulb in it and it comes on with a timer every night. I've been using it for several months and would not hesitate to purchase another if the need arises.

These lamps are pretty cheap and flimsy. The bonnet is plastic, the cord is on the short side, and the base is wobbly. However, they do look kind-of nice and the take a standard screw-in bulb.
