Looks nice, but meh quality
I bought this bread box to use as a charging station. We have several electronics that are always strewn about and I wanted a central place to charge them that also looks neater.Pros:The bread box was easy to put together and looks nice.Great size, as the height allows for plenty of storage while not taking a lot of room on the counter. The shelf is also adjustable.Cons:The edges of the back panel were separating and falling apart when I received it. It didn’t affect assembling the box.My other issue is with the sliding door. It’s doesn’t slide easily AT ALL. Even after applying oil to the groove where the door slides, it still requires one hand to hold the bread box in place, while trying to maneuver the door. There is a small knob on the door, but I would agree with other reviews that the knob likely won’t hold up over time, if that is solely used to open and close the door. The wood on the sliding door is lined and held in place with what looks like tulle fabric. There were a few sections where that was separating.I'm not sure how long this will hold up.At the time I purchased this it was $39.99. At that price, I would consider this a good value, as it looks nice once together. I wouldn’t consider it as good of a value at the regular listed price of $56.99, due to quality and poor design of the sliding door.

The rolling front opening gets stuck at the top....
So this is easy to open but then you have to get a good hold on the top of the "box" with one hand and use the other to wiggle and drag it down. Very annoying since my younger kids aren't really able to do this and my older kids are able but it's very annoying.

Large bread box
I really like the look of this bread box. My husband put it together for me. I am challenged when it comes to putting things together. The lid on the breadbox is very frustrating to deal with on a daily basis. It gets stuck trying to pull it up and down to use.

Large but flawed bread box
This bread box is okay. It's very large, with plenty of room for a few loaves of bread or other baked goods.Assembly wasn't super easy, I found the screws quite difficult to tighten. I was worried about the bamboo cracking under the force required, but it held up. That said, the instructions were clear and (almost) all of the pieces were labelled. You can figure it out without the labels anyway, the pieces are distinct enough that it shouldn't be a problem. The biggest issue is the sliding cover. It does not slide easily, which means pulling it up or down takes two hands, one to slide the door, the other to keep the whole box from moving. Additionally, even with just a loaf of bread in the bottom, the door does catch on the bag in the back. I can see this being a real problem if you had it fully loaded up with bread.I added some stick on rubber pads to the bottom and the back of the box to keep it from moving as much when I slide the door. They seem to work pretty well, but it's still very stiff. I believe the door catching at the back could be solved by adding a panel between the base/shelf and the back door groove, but this would take some work. Maybe something the manufacturer could fix in the future.Appearance-wise, it looks nice from a distance, but the wood on the inside was discolored or stained in places. And the bottom piece had a dent right in the middle inside of the box that was also inky black. It looked like a squashed bug, so I tried to clean it and realised it was wood but discolored and deformed. Probably a manufacturing issue.

All in all it was a good buy
Love having a bread box and love that this one is a double decker. We have very limited counter space in our kitchen so this being a 2 shelf unit and that the door slid up vs having a hinge door was the selling factor for us. Its a good sturdy piece and holds quite a bit. The cons with this was it arrived disassembled and wasn't the easiest thing to put together it was a tad frustrating at points but we managed to get it built. The only thing I'm disappointed in right now is that the handle on the door popped off, for the money spent I was hoping it would have been slightly better quality where it would have stayed together longer than a week. But all in all it was a good buy.

A new smart look on my counter
This item came well packed with all pieces required to put it together. I found the assembly instructions very simple and clear and in jig time I had it all together. It looks very nice on my counter and the roll door seems to work well. It jammed this morning but it turned out to be a pill bottle on the top shelf had gone back too far so got in the way of the door moving. Had to tilt it forward to move the bottle and all was good again. I really am pleased with this purchase!UPDATE: I was having trouble with the sliding door that I thought a little wear would fix but it was getting to be tougher to open and close. My hubby suggested using a Q-tip and rubbing vegetable oil lightly in the grove so I took the box apart and did as he said, put it back together and am so happy with it now. In fact, I have to hold it now when closing it so it doesn't slam.....perfect outcome!

Door Issue
The door doesn't slide well at all. I'm really not confident it will not break within a few months. Otherwise it looks great and is excellent size. The door however is a problem.
