Buy a Size Up
Generally, the significant other likes this sweater. However, it is very close to being too small. She said that after washing the sweater shrank enough that she wishes she had a large instead of a medium, so our advice is to buy a size up.Out of the package, this sweater looks nice. It initially fit really well, and looked great. The material feels soft, though not as soft as some cashmere sweaters we have had. Further, the quality does seem fairly good considering the relatively low price (for cashmere) of this sweater. We have seen cashmere sweaters go for a lot more money, though the quality of the more expensive sweaters is likely higher than this sweater. The only issue we had was with washing. We washed this sweater in cold water, trying to be as gentle as possible. We were also careful to air dry, trying to keep the shape as much as possible. Even so, the sweater shrank. Though the sweater still fits, if if shrank any more, it would be too tight. So we suggest buying a size up and washing before seeing how well the sweater fits. Our assessment of value was challenging because of the quality of the material and the shrinkage. We wavered between 4 and 5 stars, but eventually decided on four stars because while the price is relatively low, the shrinkage and quality of the material are two issues we could not ignore. Even so, this sweater is a decent one for the price.Enjoy!

Gorgeous and Luxurious
When I first got this sweater, I thought it was too thin and would have to layer up with a cardigan to keep warm. I was wrong. This sweater is my favorite staple in my wardrobe. I wore it to work on one of the bitterest days of the year and since I work in the basement, I thought, oh I would need to have my cardigan as well. I did not. It was so warm but not stifling hot. It was comfortable and definitely non-fussy -- I didn't have to worry about it all day, unlike some of my other sweaters. This one is the best one in my wardrobe. It is a classic style and though I got an x-large, it fit me perfectly but it might run on the small side as most women's clothing are. It did not pill up around my waist nor my chest. It drapes very nicely and it definitely works for a business attire or for casual. It is soft and comfortable. It isn't too soft, where you feel like you'll touch it and it will just snag. Nope. It is just perfection. Again, this is my favorite sweater and I have the cammello color and pairs great with my dark brown slacks or blue jeans. Would I recommend this? Oh heck yeah!

Surprising Quality
Cashmere seems to be everywhere these days. But I wouldn't be fooled by cheapo knits put out by companies like Uniqlo and H&M, they may be inexpensive, but they also pill easily and lose their shape. Unfortunately, high quality cashmere usually falls outside the price range for most of us mere mortals. I've now tried several Cashmeren brand pieces (3 sweaters and 2 scarves) and am fairly impressed by their quality. Particularly considering the moderate price point. I've now worn this red pullover twice and there is virtually no pilling along the underside of the arms.In terms of style, this is rather form-fitting (just as the photo suggests). I don't normally wear my sweaters snug and, since I got this in a size M. At 5'4", 145 lbs, I was a bit concered it would be tight under the arms or at the hips, but it's actually quite flattering. This is a decent and stylish sweater. While it doesn't quite have the dense softness of sweaters sold by Talbots, Land's End or Eddie Bauer, you can't really beat this quality for the price.

Simple Chic
Cashmere sweaters used to cost a fortune. I still remember a time when my husband and I were keeping an eye on an apartment for our friends who had gone on honeymoon. She had left her cashmere sweater out on the couch, I didn’t catch it in time and their cats wrecked it. She was in tears when they got back. That cashmere had cost a fortune.Cashmere sweaters don’t cost a fortune anymore. In fact, at $78 this darling one is quite affordable. And that’s not because standards are lower. They’re not. It’s because import regulations have loosened, which meant that loads of cashmere now comes from China which means prices fell. Most cashmere comes from Mongolia and Inner Mongolia these days. The other major objection to cashmere (that moths will eat it) strikes me as valid as the objection to having jewelry in case you’re robbed. If you keep your sweater clean and well-aired you should be OK.And the sweater itself is just wonderful. It is super comfortable. I suppose that’s obvious as it’s cashmere and cashmere does spoil you for anything else. It’s ribbed around the bottom which means it doesn’t bunch up and the neutral palette goes with everything. Just today I wore this to what I knew would be a long day at the office with a pair of black jeans. The combination made for a comfortable, pared down, unpretentious, comfortable and simple chic. A kind of invisible luxury.A wonderful sweater. I highly recommend it.
