I bought two of these for taking to see the eclipse (Aug 21, 2017). I charged them both wired before heading out. One of the units apparently didn't hold it's charge, and we weren't able to use it while we were in the field to charge anything. The other worked like a champ. Since I've been home, I've recharged the one that didn't work, and it came back to life and has been able to both accumulate a charge, and pass that on to other devices.They each have a flashlight-strength LED in them (hit the Power button twice quickly to turn on/off). The one that's always been good has a white one - and don't be looking at it when you turn it on! The one that didn't work (temporarily) has a blue flashlight LED. I don't know why either of them comes with this - that's a pretty standard smart phone feature these days, and if you're using one of these to charge your smartphone you'll have light. Unless your fingers are so frozen you can't plug your phone in to the unit to charge in the dark, but they'd have to be pretty frozen for things to work out that way.Don't expect the solar panels to be able to keep the battery full if you're using it to charge devices. At 1.5 W, it would take 80 hours for the panel to completely charge the battery. But that 30,000 mAh will full charge at least two phones before it goes dead, so this is a good unit for camping. If you go one box per phone, you should be able to stay out indefinitely and still keep a charge on your phone as long as you remember to keep these things in the sun during daylight.

I should have bought more than one! I mean this thing has been used in so many places for so many things. I've had it "looped" through my car's 12 volt outlet and to my cell phone so that it fully charges. I've had it mounted on my dashboard and watched it charge as I drive. Recently we installed it in my greenhouse where it powers a USB laptop fan to move air around and it runs almost all night to move air. I am putting this item back on my wishlist to buy multiples when next I have discretionary spending money.

Item is not as described. I have bought several different battery packs over the past couple months. As cheap as they are I like to keep them in each of my trucks and I use them for camping, on my motorcycle, etc.. Its nice to have a few so you always got a fully charged one. This particular one works as a charger, but it holds a very, very minor charge. It is very light, it does not have anywhere near 30,000mah, I have one I just bought off amazon from Poweradd that was sold as a 20000 mah. it is quite a bit heavier, and it will charge my phone 6 or 7 times. This one barely charges my phone to full power. The solar panel does work but it is such a trickle it would take 72 hours in full sun to fully charge it, so the solar panel is practically worthless. It does work, but I would list it as a 3000mah charger as that is what it takes to fully charge my phone. It is cheap at 14.00$ but honestly even if you spend 10$ more to get a charger that is a true 20,000 mah or even 15,000 mah you are better off instead of having to constantly charge this one and burning through the battery fast.

Really like this power pack...works great...even charges under my desk lamp....great price....has about 12 power packs now......ordered a second one and it is a piece of junk...has trash under the solar panel and will not charge by solar power....will not order from this seller again.....Got a third one from different seller and it works as expected...

Product was as described. Functionality was as described. Durability was as described. You may need to charge it up to full bars before use. However match this up with Star Tech Y cable USB and it puts out 3 volts and keeps phone at 100% while in use after charging up from 99%. I like it../

I want a second one, though the solar charging never seems to fully charge the battery, it's still great for outdoor charging. This battery holds a good charge when fully charged or left in direct sunlight.

This device is not what it says it is. 30000mah nope. It can almost completely charge my droid maxx and the solar panel doesn't do much.
