Not a non-denominational book
Way too wordy, which I was willing to accept all the way up to the point that the book endorsed Martin Luther as the founder of the Christmas tree (which is purely unsubstantiated legend). The book says Luther noticed a tree covered in icicles and decided to bring it into his house to teach his kids about God (kids that he fathered after he broke the vows he took to become a Catholic priest). I was hoping this book took a non-denominational approach to explaining the true origins of the Christmas Tree. I am disappointed to discover the Protestant spin on history. On the other hand, if anyone was odd enough to think it was a good idea to bring an icicle-covered pine tree inside a warm house, maybe Luther really was behind it.

Description: Used-Like New was generous
Book is in very good condition but not "Like New". Obviously been read. I enjoyed the book very much. I haven't researched the contents. I think my grandchildren will enjoy the story and beautiful pictures.

Great Book for a Christian Christmas
We had the board book version of the Legend of the Christmas Tree. I really appreciated how it presented from a Christian perspective why we use Christmas trees. I knew that the large version of the book would have more information than the board book. It did. The plan is to use this with our children each year after we put up our tree to remind us why we have a tree and how it reflects Christ.

Lovely illustrations and legend!
This will be fun to use in writing a short Christmas program - with music, tree Pinterest ideas, and this legend.

Very cute story.
I don't know if there's any truth to the "legend of the Christmas tree" but we really liked this book!

Ok
I really liked the other books in this series but this book is a bit of a stretch with its logic

This book was okay. It's not the best written story and some of the points on the meaning behind Christmas trees gets a bit lost. It's alright, but I'll be looking for a better one.
