Overall I gave this a 3 star even though I really wanted to give it 5. Been following this bag for a while and finally decided to spend the money on it. It has a lot of pros and cons, which are as follows:Cons-Extremely poor packaging. Bag came in plastic. There are bags way cheaper than this that come better packaged. The bag was folded in half inside of a ripped bag that I assume is for storage. Those together were inside a ripped quasi-ziplock bag that had 2 giant holes. For the slogan to be travel in style, and motto that says ‘it’s not a bag, it’s a lifestyle,’ I expected more.- once the book bag straps are out, the zipper on the back cant close. Not sure how they would have done it, however, the bag is supposed to repel water to keep your stuff safe, but if the strap pocket is open during severe rain, you run a bigger risk of getting your computer wet with that pocket being open.-Awkwardly shaped/long. When worn as a book bag it folds inward at the bottom. I adjusted the straps and the same thing happened. Definitely doesn’t have a structured appearance like their photos. Also, the bag has length but no width. I had to open the side zipper to put in my binder because it wouldn’t fit through the hole at the top while trying to use it as a book bag. Also, with it being so narrow, you can’t put many books in it. Probably best used as a messenger bag/small duffle.-Back strap will fold when adjusting the length while wearing it. Makes it difficult to adjust. See picture.- Small handle on the front is pointlessPros:-Stylish. Would give it 10 out of 5 if that were possible simply for the appearance. The color combo is nice, the design, the high quality materials are great.-Lots of pockets. 4 exterior pockets (2 vertical and 2 horizontal), a duel entry laptop pocket, and 4 inner storage pockets (2 horizontal and 2 vertical; 2 w/ zippers, 1 w/ Velcro, the small one has an elastic opening).-Ability to convert from a book bag to messenger back. The ability to hide the backpack straps and clips when using it as a messenger bag.I hope that helps!

My Saint Maniero bag arrived this week and I'm impressed. To summarize, this is a high-quality, thoughtfully designed bag with a unique style.I'll start with the style. As one can tell from the photos, the bag has a unique style. I like that it has classic elements, and yet is striking and unique. I also like that it has a relatively slim profile, but manages to have a good amount of room to store what I typically carry.I was also impressed by the thoughtful design and quality construction. The team at Saint Maniero clearly put a lot of thought into the design - understanding people's use cases and anticipating the problems typical of backpacks. For instance, I love that the internal pockets have velcro or zip features so that things like business cards, pens, etc. don't spill out into the rest of the bag, but remain easily accessible. It's also worth noting that there are numerous internal pockets, which I find helpful -- but not so many that it becomes bulky or cumbersome -- and there are a few external pockets to store things that should be kept accessible from the outside / that shouldn't be on the interior. I also like that it is designed to work as a backpack or a messenger bag -- and even if you wear it like a backpack, you can load it like a messenger bag, which makes it easier to access the whole bag.I've only had it for a few days now, but I'd note that the construction of the bag feels very solid -- zippers work smoothly, materials feel and look good, there's padding where it needs it.The bag arrived nicely packaged, with high-quality instructional / informational materials that signal the quality of the product and also make this a very nice gift for someone.In conclusion, this seems to be a high-quality, thoughtfully designed bag with a unique style.

I got this bag to carry my 17” laptop to and from the office in style. It definitely is stylish and my laptop technically fit after using the side zip and unsnapping an interior snap, but I’m returning because of a few reasons:1. There is very little padding inside for a laptop. The canvas material is essentially the thickness of a tote bag. There’s a layer of thin foam on the back and on the divider. Not sure how it would actually cushion any impact, it seems like it’s there for bag structure instead of safety.2. Although it can technically function as a backpack, it is clear it’s meant to be a top-carry or a messenger bag. Even the interior pockets are designed to be accessed from the side zipper. It does come with a strap which is helpful, but I need more shoulder support than the messenger bag strap provides. There is a layer of mesh padding on the backpack straps for a little additional cushion, but it is thinner than most backpack straps and does not seem like it would hold up as a backpack 100% of the time.3. The clencher... it is a FUR MAGNET! I have two fluffy animals so fur can (and often does) get everywhere. This bag fell over from standing up vertically and when I picked it up, it was COVERED in fur. Obviously this will not be an issue for everyone, but the canvas material seems to attract fur and dander like nobody’s business. Even after de-furring it I noticed it picked up more fuzz just in the car.It’s a shame this didn’t pan out for me because it really is a cute bag and would be great for a carryon... just don’t pack it too heavy or else you will feel it. Personally, I’ll be going for a water-resistant bag which is designed as a laptop backpack. Maybe I’ll have better luck elsewhere.

The impression is definitely of a premium product, starting from the design, the quality of the manufacturing ,the choice of the materials and the attention to the details. I received the backpack inside a protective fabric bag, with a one year warranty and a company leaflet with instructions on the different way to use the item.The aspect I appreciate most is the versatility of the product, from backpack to messenger or notebook bag.The storage space is quite impressive, I could probably take with me for a weekend away with no additional luggages, and that helps in saving additional flight ticket charges.It is also a good idea for a gift, whoever receive it will definitely be positively impressed. Recommended

Ive been using this for the weekend to carry various things as a father with the waters and snacks and various father essentials. Its become an essential and practical bag to make my life easier on longs walks and weekend activity. The slot for the laptop is key as well protected and allows me to bring for work if needed. I love the versatility of it being a book bag or a bag as you can flip it. Chic as hell lovin it and highly recommend it

Really lovely backpack. I am a bit unsure about the durability of the vegan leather but it looks pretty sturdy? There are more internal pockets and the multiple zips for access to the main compartment is brilliant. Mine arrived without the carry strap but I contacted the sellers through Amazon and they couldn't have been nicer. Sent one out immediately, no fuss, really polite.It loses a start for the vegan leather just because I'm a bit concerned that it will be a weak point on the bag and I'm pretty hard on my luggage, but apart from that its fab and Im delighted with it.

Great shape and functionality. Design is good, although the panels and trim at this price should really be real leather. Great mechanism to hide the backpack straps and comes with a nice long strap to use the bag over the shoulder. Sadly though one of the zips has already broken with light use, less than 2 weeks from receiving it. Also, the back of the bag wasn’t padded like it was supposed to be. Going to exchange it and hope for better next time, although oddly Amazon didn’t offer me a replacement so had to buy direct from the company after getting a refund.

we bought this lovely bag for my daughter for her final year at school. This product is very well designed, we had minor issue with the finishing quality but the company was wonderful at sorting it out. the design was great as a senior school bag, handy as a weekend bag and was taken on all her trips to university open days all year and is now travelling with her overseas. This company produce bags that are well thought out in practicality and looks combined with great customer service.
