This is by far the singular BEST one. BUY IT NOW!!!
Love it. Love it! LOVE IT! We all loved it so much that a number of people in the family have purchased similar such devices. So far we haven't found a single one that matches the Integrity of this unit. In retrospect I should have come back to Amazon and repurchase this item. Here I Am the day after Christmas going through and reading the things I have purchased when I noticed at the bottom of my list this very item. It so happens I purchased yet another such device only to be disappointed this Christmas. I did not realize that I had purchased this item originally from Amazon. Hooray for me because I did and it is still available. You can bet I will be buying duplicates of this from Amazon as long as it is available. We even placed one of these on our cats so that we could locate them whenever we needed. The range on these devices exceeds the range given. Once we had a cat get out during a horrible snowstorm and though the cat was able to get several Acres the way we were able to find it using this device. Hate to think what could have happened to that cat should a mountain lion or bear found it before us. We do not have enough positive things to say about this device to describe it to suffice to relay the following statement. BUY THIS ONE and you will not regret it. Don't bother looking for a substitute because it does not exist.

Gets the job done
We've been using these key finders for a couple weeks now and they have saved the day quite a few times. Light-weight, easy to attach to anything that can get lost ( including our wondering turtle when she's in the mood to run out of our garden. I just 'velcroed' a finder to her shell and located her anywhere she tried to hide ) and so far, very dependable is how I would describe this product. Can't commment on the battery life just yet but was impressed by the signal distance the beepers could be activated from. I'm gonna guess close to 20 yards. The only problem I've had so far that's worth mentioning is that the beeper volume isn't very high. You must have pretty good hearing in order to pick the beep from other common noises around you if the distance is more than ten yards or so and the 'finder' is under or inside something. I solved this problem by placing two key finders on anything easily lost or forgotten- inside a coat pocket for instance - where the beeper sound can be muffled. These finders appear to be sturdy enough to take bouncing around in a purse or pocket and the main control appears to be well constucted. It would be nice though if a second controller with the same frequency could be purchased for those times when two of us go searching for that lost item. The set is a little pricey perhaps, but overall a very worthwhile investment in the fight to maintain one's sanity. Especially when life has you paused in your tracks and you've thinking 'now where did I put those?

Batteries does have issues ...
I read some of the reviews before I purchased. But considering the alternatives in the market this is a good product.I didn't want to activate all 6 receivers but I did open 4 of them. Two batteries were dead on arrival. That's where I took off 1 star. One battery was VERY weak and the receiver's beeping noise was low. Only ONE out of the 4 I opened was fully working because I can hear the beeping strong and loud. The beeping sound is pleasant and not annoying, but louder than a watch alarm. For those who thinks attaching 2 receivers might increase the noise output level, it doesn't. The transmitter only activates one receiver at a time. Although it is possible for the 2 to overlap in beeps for a brief split second. I was hoping to attach 2 or 3 to my dog so I can find him outside easier but my hopes were dashed when I discovered the transmitter activates one at a time. The distance is pretty good. I hid one receiver in the bathroom, closed 2 doors, walked 20 feet away I can still hear the beep, faint, but it was there. I then tested without any walls blocking the receiver and walked about 50 feet away and it still worked too.I think the price of this product is fair considering I get 6 receivers. I know the batteries aren't in mint condition but I can always buy new ones, the receivers use CR2032. Of course I shouldn't have to spend extra money buying batteries because CR2032 are pricey and considering I have to replace it every 3 to 6 months (according to the instruction manual), this can get expensive.

I've needed these for years...
Wireless Remote Control Finders / B002II81N0I lost my portfolio a month ago and turned the house *upside-down* looking for it. After three days of tearing through every room in the house, my car, and my office at work, I finally decided it was lost for good and bought a new one - and these beepers. This set of six comes with 4 keychain models and 2 flat "pull off the paper back and stick the sticky side to something" fobs. And the remote control, of course. The remote comes on a little keychain as well, but right now it lives in a drawer where I won't misplace it. The 6 beepers are "receivers" only - they can't find one another, but I prefer it that way because I'm always afraid a beeper in, say, my purse, might get pressed accidentally and set off the beeper in my portfolio.I wish I'd found and bought these years ago - the range in great, the volume is great, the remote is easy to use. The battery life so far seems fine, and the batteries seem easy enough to change whenever it's time for a replacement. The color-coding is intuitive and easy to remember, and the size of the beepers is fine for tucking into a portfolio or purse, or for hanging on a keychain. Now I just wish they made a tiny version to stick on a pair of glasses.~ Ana Mardoll
