First Down Devotions: Inspiration from the NFL's Best (Stars of the Faith, 2)

I was very excited to sit down to a well-written, spiritual book. The author, Del Duduit, had interviewed some of the greats in NFL and brought those players' wisdom together in a book that made me smile. First Down Devotions is a great devotional morning or Sunday read that reminds you to value what is important in life. Each player interviewed had some really neat advice to share, as well as Del's take on living a Godly life in general.I loved how Del used football terminology to separate his messages within chapters. Terms used like "In the Huddle and Cross the Goal Line". Mr. Duduit was consistent with these categories throughout the book so that the reader easily knew where the message was going and the messages' intentions.This book is a great inspirational read for anyone, not just football fans. I highly enjoyed it!

This was for our 15 year old son and he LOVES football and really enjoys this devotion. Highly recommend! Short and to the point, as well as keeps his interest.

My boyfriend is a total sports feign, but he also loves the Lord. What better than putting a devotional in front of him that grasps his attention? I love the stories that he has told me about!!!

Five stars for Del Duduit’s First Down Devotions. You’ll enjoy the player’s first-hand accounts of how faith in God has helped them overcome many hurdles in life. Both on and off the field. You’ll find Del’s guides for daily living both inspirational and spiritually sound. The book is well-written in a user-friendly format. I love it and you will too. One that won’t sit idle on your bookshelf, I promise.

Bought for my boyfriend, he likes it, I’ve read a few and think they are really well thought out and I like that they are longer length than your typical devotional.

I loved First Down Devotions. Looking at lessons from some of the best players in the NFL, the devotions encourage believers to use their faith in a practical way. Many familiar pro players like DeAndre Hopkins, Andy Dalton and Kirk Cousins lent their wisdom to this devotional. Highly recommend for busy football fans who want a quick boost in the morning or evening.
