Cedrus Antioxidant Facial Cream Cleanser - All-Natural, Ultra-Hydrating, Vegan - 4 oz

MY SKIN: dry, semi sensitive, clear, 40 something, NON-ance Rosacea (flushing, visible veins, no acne).MY THOUGHTS: I like it. I like that it is a gentle CREAM cleanser that is non irritating to my dry skin. I do not have any issues with it clogging my pores, or making my skin feel unclean. I have no issues with it at all over the course of two weeks or so that I have been using it. Love the moisture. So far so good-- will be back if I experience otherwise.HOW TO USE: "Apply to dry skin and gently massage onto face. Rinse thoroughly with warm water". I take a generous amount and massage it in onto DRY SKIN (as per directions). Since it is cream and doesn't "lather", be sure to gently massage your skin for awhile. This helps to break up and dissolve daily build up of grime and other skin care products. If I am using it at night, I sometimes do this process twice (double cleanse, though obviously second wash is on damp skin), especially if during the day I had been applying over and over hard to dissolve sun protection products. Actually no matter what skin cleanser I use, it is a double wash at night. Anyway.. If I use it in the morning- where I often only do a water wash, then I use a small amount of this, and only wash once. My skin likes it. Soft, clean, supple. It rinses clean. My skin never feels tight or parched, yet feels clean.SCENT: I am super prone to scent induced nausea and headaches, and whatever LIGHT scent this has, it doesn't bother me in the least. There is no added fragrance/parfum, the scent is entirely a composite of all else that is in here. The one note that pops out more is Cedar. So if you hate that, you may not like this. I happen to like cedar (in small amount), so that might be why I am more apt to like it. I think it is mild and pleasant.PACKAGING/BOTTLE: I must mention the packaging. It comes in a nice box, and the bottle itself is a frosted glass with no printing except for the name, brand, and what it is- all in a single spot. Pump style. It is attractive, classy, and I would imagine it would be lovely as part of a gift. There is a paper wrapped around bottle with more info. First off, the smell is overwhelming and not in a good way. It’s a bad “clay” smell.This item feels like a lotion that you rinse off when done. It does not clean on its own.I will not repurchase.

Update: Not worth the price at all. It only cleans well if you have extra instruments to help. I had to stop using this product because it makes moles pop up on my face?? Initially it worked fine with the help of a spin brush, but then, it started giving me moles. I hadn't had a new mole on my face in years, started using this, and moles started popping up out of no where. Just to check that it was the cleanser, I stopped using it and, magically, the moles stopped popping up. I have keloid issues so I don't know if it was damaging my face in a certain way and the moles were because of that? But I do know I stopped using it and won't rebuy.

This is a gentle face cleanser. I have somewhat sensitive skin and this hasn't irritated or annoyed my skin at all. It comes in a nice bottle and has a pump dispenser that works well. You apply it to your dry skin and massage it in to your skin before rinsing with warm water. It doesn't foam. It doesn't over dry my skin either. There is noadded fragrance, but it does have a smell to it. I've had a boutique bar of soap that smelled the same so I think the smell is due to some of the ingredients. While the smell is not foul, I personally do not like it. Smell influences whether or not I like a product or not.

This is a nice gentle cleanser without any astringent qualities. So, if you are looking for something more astringent, or in other words, something that will make your face feel 'squeaky clean,' then this is not it. This is a really emollient 'milk' cleanser that goes on super soft, washes away nicely, and leaves my skin feeling really soft.Zero irritation for my sensitive skin with slight rosacea. No sticky after residue. I don't feel any residue left over at all. Just soft skin.This works well for my aging skin when I don't have the oily skin I did when young. I require cleansers that are more gentle, more emollient, more moisturizing than I used to.If I were feeling extra sweaty from working out, grimy from doing something dirty (like working outside the house or whatever), or needed to wash away makeup, I would not use this cleanser but would instead turn to one of my other cleansers that more deeply washes my face.This one is perfect for in the mornings--especially since it is unscented and won't interfere with my coffee. Just a nice soft wake-me-up cleansing for my face.Skinvolve is likely supposed to be purchased as a 'set' with toner and oil moisturizer. I have the oil moisturizer, but not the toner. I tend not to use toners. But again, using this as a gentle cleanser in the morning, this is a nice gentle moisturizing one.At $22, it is very reasonably priced (especially when compared to the oil!).I hope my review helped you; thank you for reading!
