Not recommended for heavy use.
I purchased this yard tarp because of its large size and advertised "heavy duty poly fabric". I have owned two smaller tarps similar to this which I have been using for years and which have been abused by heavy use. They are still usable, but about to give up the ghost. The first time I used this tarp I thought it felt just a bit thicker than a heavy duty garbage bag. My other two tarps were made of much tougher material. After one load of sticks, branches and pine needles it had three holes in it. After two loads it looked like it had been used for target practice. This bag is made of thin material which is easily pierced. It might be okay for leaves only (no sticks). I do not recommend this tarp for heavy use.

Perfect tarp for raking leaves
Call me crazy, but I love raking leaves. I get to be outside on a crisp Autumn day, getting exercise and making my yard look nicer. But to be clear, I like the RAKING part; I always found the part where I have to stuff the raked leaves into bags to be tedious. Then I saw a neighbor's landscaper using a tarp and thought "Gee, why don't I get a tarp?"This tarp is perfect for me. I rake my leaves onto it, grab the drawstring at each corner, and drag the leaves off to my mulch pile. Fast and easy. Why didn't I get this years ago?I got the 8'x8' size and that is fine for me. I am a 5'4" reasonably fit woman, and when it's filled with leaves I am able to drag it. So I'm glad I didn't get the smaller size. It's easier to rake leaves onto a big surface area, and you can always fill it with less if upper body strength is an issue. I would say to only get the smaller size if you are using it as a cover. So far the durability has been fine. I am only using it for leaves (not branches), and only dragging it across my lawn.I think some other reviews warned about the drawstring coming loose, but mine came already loosely knotted at one corner. (The knot was loose enough that I could have un-knotted it if I'd wanted to.)

Will buy again. Sturdy
Should have bought a little smaller. The 9x9 is a bit too big for my mom to handle with all the pine tree debris that collects on her property, but the tarp itself is a great product. Durable and (had I got the 6x6) really easy to tote around the yard. Will buy the smaller one as soon as this one gives out. May be a while.

Keeping my firewood cozy and dry...
Great tarp!! I am using it to cover my firewood right outside my slider door on my patio. I ordered one slightly bigger than I really needed, so I am not even using the built-in rope handles. I simply covered my wood and tucked the tarp edges underneath to keep off the snow and rain. It hasn't even budged through several storms and I just take out dry firewood when I need it. Very sturdy trap and a good purchase... I know it will last for years to come.

Tarp came in handy.
It's OK. I needed an extra one. I must say that my favorite tarp which I still have and use ( it's about 25 years old) is a material like a painters drop cloth with red wide cloth handles.'It's flexible and easier to gather up the leaves. I don't like the thin cords on the Shelko tarp but it was a good size and did help us gather up the leaves.

This is my second tarp. The first tarp lasted more than 15 years. It would have lasted longer if I hadn't dragged it on the drive loaded, which caused wear holes. Lay it flat and yard debris sweeps right in. Grab the handle and lace it through the other corners and off you go. When not in use it covers my compose or my wood stack. It works for me and so it will for you.

So far these are great
I bought two of them two cover my patioFurniture and protected from rain and snow this winter, so far they are great, durable, what I like the best are the ropes where you can tighten the tarp. Lets see the durability of the material through out the winter years. I am going to also purchase some for my ATV.

Very Good Product
I’m using the tarp to cover my patio chairs and table for the winter months. It’s larger than I expected and is made of a sturdy material which has neither blown away nor torn despite the sometimes severe PA weather. This is definitely a good product worth a very reasonable price.
