The Ultimate Scholarship Book 2015: Billions of Dollars in Scholarships, Grants and Prizes Review: Valuable Book!!!!! - So far, skimming through the book, it's full of information and also has many more scholarships than scholarship websites, especially for specific majors. This book will be a great help to anyone when helping them to pinpoint the key scholarships that may be best for them whether they be local scholarships in your county or national scholarships which have more nationwide competition. Plus, for $20, it's one of the best deals you can get for a book full of BILLIONS of DOLLARS worth of scholarships! Review: A wealth of information, but most of it pertains to undergraduate scholarships - This is a great book and has a ridiculously high number of scholarships listed. I liked the format and found the information to be very well-organized-- there are several different ways to look up the type of scholarship you're seeking. However, I do wish the state-specific scholarships had been separated by state. One important caveat: the overwhelming majority of the scholarships found in this book pertain to undergraduate studies. This isn't the fault of the authors, of course; there are simply more scholarships out there for undergrads. Just be forewarned: if you are heading to grad school, then you are probably better off spending your time in search of a graduate assistantship instead of combing through this book in search of scholarships.

Huge resource
Great resource. Im a senior who's looking forward to NOT having so much debt after college so looking at these scholarships and applying for them helps me keep on track on being responsible for my finances. There are so many categories that you can narrow down to that will fit you. It may be a little overwhelming though. I'd recommend it on kindle since you can type in key words instead of having to flip through pages before you find what you actually want.

I wish there was a book better for Graduate students
I wish there was a book better for Graduate students. You have to work out your own system for finding the best applicable scholarships. I find going straight towards "applicants eligible" first in alphabetical order (how they're listed) easiest. IDK if I'd buy this again..Several scholarships were expired or no longer available. Fun fact: There are scholarships for high school students included. Guess it's never too early to start applying for free money!

Ultimate Scholarship?? Ultimate Disappointment!!!
I have never felt so ripped off as I have with the purchase of this book. Here's Why: Pages 9-11 in the book focus strictly on convincing the reader why this book is supposedly so much better than Scholarship Websites. Here are a few reasons why you shouldn't fall for their arguments: 1. The authors publish an update of this book annually, but the only update appears to be a new cover with this year's date. 2. As a resident of Florida, I located one scholarship for Florida residents that included with the State Contact information the email for Charlie Crist, Governor of FL along with his email address. What's the Problem? Charlie Crist hasn't been the Governor of Florida in FOUR years, since 2011. Authors Gen and Kelly Tanabe couldn't be bothered to update this and other information in four years, even though they've sold 4 "Updated" editions in the meantime? Also, many of the scholarships listed in the book that I looked up were either no longer being offered or had other out of date information. 3. In the section that is organized by State, I looked up Florida scholarships in the "F" section such as Florida Bright Futures, Florida Oratorical Scholarship, Florida Engineers Scholarship, etc. What's the problem? Well, intertwined in these Florida scholarships is the Ford Opportunity Scholarship--because it, too, starts with an "F". But for whom does the book say the Ford scholarship is intended? "Oregon undergraduate students who are single parents." Oregon in the Florida section??? That might be difficult for those from Oregon to find. And there are many more examples just like this one. So, how do the authors handle the outdated information found in this book? They direct you to their WEBSITE where you can type in the four digit code associated with that scholarship to receive the current information or whether or not it's even still being offered. Why? because it's much easier to update a website than a published book each year. But apparently it's not that difficult to slap a new date on the front and charge another $20. So, my advice? Skip this book and others like it and google "College Scholarships". Half a dozen FREE websites will pop up that allow you to put in your information to quickly match you with scholarships that are current and that you are actually eligible for. A few mismatches? Occasionally, but not many. And it's FREE. An important detail when your goal is to acquire money for college. Honestly, I'd be embarrassed to put my name on a book like this, and if I was affiliated with Harvard, I'd be embarrassed that the Tanube's chose to flaunt from where they are alumni. A complete disappointment and a complete waste of time and money!!!!

Good exercise for kids to learn that nothing in life ...
Very comprehensive. Just know that their is a reason many of these scholarships go unclaimed...IT'S A LOT OF WORK! Good exercise for kids to learn that nothing in life is free.

Great Tool for Parents and Students.
This book was really informative. I found lots of scholarships that were not advertised on the online sites. Its tedious. The only section I had a problem with was the section with scholarships by states. Not all of the states are together. But this was a great purchase in my opinion, and I am happy that I have it in my possession.
