The instructions are a little sparse, and the QR code it includes is outdated (for android). So, to save some people a bit of time, I'll list my findings here:Android App: Kamoer RemoteWifi: 2.4GHz Note: I had to try a few times to get it to work correctly as if you have dual-band and both are broadcasting SSID it won't work. I ended up setting up a separate subnet with a repeater that only broadcasts a 2.4GHz band and keeps the 5GHz one hidden.The app is Ok, but has a few bugs in it, for example, it complains about an update that doesn't exist in the app store.Once it's connected, it works fairly well. There's tutorials on youtube on how to set it up since it can be a bit cumbersome and there are multiple ways of achieving the desired schedule. If they improve the app it could be a very good pump. From a dev standpoint, they should also open their APIs since being able to fetch this information for custom dashboards could be very useful.

The tubing is extremely hard to put in it took me an hour to connect the tubing and left my thumb super sore. With this kind of price, you would think the knobs are a little "smarter" and easy to slip on

Got this from my LFS because it was cheaper. Great build quality. Good control. App works pretty good so far. 3 stars because connecting to WiFi is a headache. You need 802.11 b/g 2.4 ghz WiFi. 802.11N 2.4 ghz did not work. You will need a dedicated 2.4 ghz network. A new firmware was available at the time of this review but did not have time to test it. Will update review after testing. Anyway once the pump is connected everything works well with app. Simulated power outage, WiFi outage and the pump reconnected each time with all settings intact. Calibration is very easy. Will test with 802.11N 2.4 ghz on the new firmware once I have time. You can look at the Red Sea doser but it too requires 2.4 ghz.

Terrible app which makes the pump unreliable and unusable. Do not purchase.

The Kamoer app is required to operate this pump and it has a 1 star rating on the App Store. That tells you all you need to know. It’s basically a shiny $400 paper weight.
