Introducing the Winter Soldier
I love the movie. I liked the first Captain America movie thought Avengers was good and this is amazing. I think Chris Evans play Cap perfectly. I think it is a great move to have him play the role of the MU Captain America, in the Ultimate world the Marvel movies are set in. The difference is the MU CA is more of the nice guy a soldier who follows his conscience before he follows an order, where as the Ultimate version of the character is a by the book American jock bully type soldier. Thankfully Evens plays the earlier describes. He plays the man out of time angle well. He is catching up with technology, but still has trouble forming connections with people. I also like him being the sort of white knight among the black ops background of the other characters. The first mission was a great way of bringing this across. He goes into a hostage situation to save hostages; the spies have their own agenda. The like the little touches of Cap jumping out of SHIELD headquarters rather similar to his escape and outlawing during the Civil War series which made a lot of people see his a much more than just a super solider drone. They all so I think got Caps "powers" right as well. Cap does not have powers, but his strength has been enhanced, he is describes as perpetual motion as his body does not produce lactic acids during exertions further enhancing his stamina, and he does possess a healing factor, (this healing is not quite on Wolverine level), which allows him to shrug off small or non-fatal injuries faster. The only think I did not understand in the Winter Soldier was code named thus as he was a Russian experiment to use Bucky's skills set but remove his emotions making him the perfect soldier, but he seems to be captured by Hydra straight after his fall, I am not sure here the Russian part came from in the movie. However that does leave something for the next film.Scarlet plays a decent Black Widow. She does that action scenes well, she hits the superior spy arrogance spot on but she does not seem to give off the toughness vibe the character need. A don't mess with her type thing. Of course that disappears as soon as the fight starts, as more often than not she has taken her opponent before they know what hit them. The banter between her and Cap is very flirty but has a definite condescending tone to it.Samuel Jackson is Nick Fury nuff said. The plot of the movie is good, and I think done quite smartly. If you watch the Agents of SHIELD series you see the further repercussions of this storyline. The action is excellent. Fast passed and just right to be believable in a comic book setting. I was great to see GSP in action ablate in only one scene. I think he managed to perfectly adapt and exciting kicking bases fighting style perfect for the movies rather his more grinding UFC fighting style. The biggest compliment I can give this movie is my wife who hates comics enjoyed sitting through the whole 2 hours of the movie and enjoyed it.

Wanted: Captain Rogers
Another superhero movie from Marvel studios, this is a sequel to Captain America: The First Avenger [DVD].It takes place after the events of Marvel's Avengers Assemble [DVD]. Familiarity with both movies will help, as you might be a bit lost in the story otherwise. But if you're reading this you've doubtless seen both those films, so that shouldn't be a problem. This is somewhat loosely based on Captain America: Winter Soldier:, a Captain America comic story from a few years back. You won't need to have read that to get into this though.Steve Rogers [Chris Evans] is working for S.H.I.E.L.D. as they attempt to deal with evil forces. As a decent opening sequence shows you. A scene that contains one good surprise for those who know their Marvel comics continuity. He's also working closely with Black Widow [Scarlett Johansson].But for a man from a time of simple virtues and an age when it was easy to tell the good guys and the bad guys apart, the modern world is still something he's got to get used to.He may not get the chance. When uncovering a conspiracy leaves him wanted and on the run. On top of all of S.H.I.E.L.D. being after him, there's also a mysterious assassin to contend with...This is one of the best movies to come from this studio to date. And very much five star material. In addition to having decent action, humour and character drama, it scores highly because it's a little different to all the other superhero movies. It's not just an action fest. It's a spy drama and conspiracy thriller, and in that respect is very reminiscent of certain classics of that genre from the 1970's. Keeping the viewer on the edge of their seat with a plot that twists and turns and contains a lot of surprises.Which they most certainly are. Because the status quo of things at the end of the film is totally different from at the start. And it's not a hoax, a dream or an imaginary story. It contains plot developments that impact the Marvel cinema universe as a whole. Making for exciting storytelling.Chris Evans is a superb lead. Also ably supported by Scarlett Johansson, as the two share a good amount of screen time and have an excellent chemistry together. The Winter Soldier character doesn't quite figure as much as you would expect, but they are there for a reason that will become apparent. It's a bit of a shame that the film does falter slightly in the final quarter, when it moves away from the exciting conspiracy drama to go big action blockbuster finale instead. Whilst a decent finale, it doesn't feel as if it offers anything that new. But that's the only complaint about an excellent film that really succeeds in doing what it sets out to do.Keep watching during the end credits for two extra scenes. One in the middle and one right at the end.The dvd has the following language and subtitle options:Languages: English, Hindi, Telegu, Tamil.Subtitles: English, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish. The disc begins with one trailer, which can be skipped via the next button on the dvd remote. There are just two extras:Steve Roger's notebook: a two minute feature all about Steve's notebook, which you see in the film he uses to record things of the times he's missed that he needs to catch up on. This is quite interesting in regards to how it was put together. There's also a one minute long deleted scene. That's quite good. The box also contains a pack of Hero Attax, a trading card game involving Marvel comic characters.

Excellent movie!!
This was the movie that made me a Captain America fan. Such a great film, one of the top 3 MCU movies imo. The Winter Soldier is such a menacing character here, I wish he would have kept him with the same "bad-assness" levels but he seems so puny in the following movies (with exception to Civil War).
