Pilgrims: A Nonfiction Companion to Magic Tree House #27: Thanksgiving on Thursday

Though I bought this book for my grandchildren, I really enjoyed reading it myself. As a student of history - particularly American and religious history, I found this book informative and accurate. I would have liked for it to give a bit more information about the native Wampanoag peoples. I think the Wampanoag were a vital and critical part of the story. Their contribution cannot be over emphasized. I wish the peace that the early Pilgrims and Wampanoag enjoyed could have lasted. I highly recommend this book to young readers in the 2nd through 4th grades.

Granddaughter really like reading this book

I teach second grade and this is a book we use every year in November the students absolutely love learning about the history of the pilgrims. The authors give relevant details that the kids understand well.

It was new so it is in good shape. Just was I needed for my daughter's Thanksgiving unit study we did.

I love this book. I read it every night and it was very informative and me as a kid loved it! I need to make more books yaya!

Great resource for lesson planning.

I bought this to read with my second graders in November. Mary Pope Osborne writes wonderful books and this was a great book to read for Thanksgiving.

My grandsons loved reading this before the holiday. It gave them a lot of information for the holiday season. They wanted me to read it to them when I got to their house for thanksgiving dinner
