SEE PICTURES! Great Idea, but...
I have to admit, I am disappointed! I am not disappointed in the toy, but more by the description and price. In the past, we have owned other banks that have counted the coins. You need to know this does not count for you. In many ways, this is a good thing and a great way to learn. However, I would expect the price point to be lower. The ATM itself is great. Add three AA batteries, swipe your ATM card and your ATM is now "on". Want to make a deposit? Press "deposit" and how much you are putting in. Your ATM will keep a tally going! Want to add bills? You put them in the slot, turn the knob and in it goes. Again, you manually add your deposit. Want to make a withdrawal? Press "withdrawal" and enter the amount. Use your combination (2 numbers - preset) to open your ATM and take out your money. Your ATM comes complete with lights and sounds. For the price, I would have liked to have seen it do a bit more. I just don't see the price point of $45.

Don't Waste Your Money
The combination lock and area around the lock are PLASTIC. Did not work for us from the start, even though we continued to try to get it to work so as not to disappoint the recipient. However, we returned it the very next day.

This machine will not count the money as it is inserted you must punch the amount in.
Made cheaper than I had expected, still was a hit with my 7 year old niece. Would be nice though if it would count the money because she is learning to count money and has to ask me how much each coin is and how to type it in.

I am disgusted, I purchased this as a gift upon opening the product it DOES NOT and has never worked, it arrived dysfunctional! I am out of the return window or I would return the product, my only recourse is to write this review and encourage you NOT TO BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

Perfect for older children, works great!
This atm is a little too advanced for a 5 year old (i.e. opening the drawer with a combination, too difficult). That being said, he does love playing with it and when he's older it will be a great bank. Everything worked as advertised and its actually a very COOL toy. Just hard to open drawer. And older kids will understand deposits versus withdrawals. My bad, grandson wanted it and I got it. We will keep it and when supervised he has a ball with it.
