Inexpensive, Poor Instructions, But Makes Nice Rice. Not Bad for the Price
I got this rice cooker because I wanted the 'sticky rice' I get in Asian restaurants. Once you figure it out it does a very good job making this. The down side is that this is an inexpensive cooker and it shows. One of the indicator lamps on the front is so dim it can hardly be seen. The latches that hold the lid fall off easily and this cooker won't work without both of them. The folding handles on the lid pop out of their mounts. The instructions are badly translated and more-or-less worthless. Some things I've learned;Always use the metal insert to collect excess water while cooking. Be careful to not burn yourself when you remove it. You can heat meat and vegetables in this while you're cooking rice but they will be very damp.Use the same 4-parts-water-to-1-part-rice that you would use cooking in a pan.Don't try to make more than two cups of cooked rice at a time. You can separate the pieces of the lid for cleaning by pulling on the rubber piece in the center. For the price this is not a bad cooker for two people.

Reliable
It cooks rice perfectly... one full cup(the one that comes with it) will make enough rice for one person, I will guess that if you use 4(full capacity of this rice cooker) of those cutesy small cup, it will feed a family of 4(if you love rice, it will only good for two). The unit will get HOT, like too hot to handle while cooking(be aware any "little helpers" in the kitchen with you. The unit expels a very strong smell of like "cheap electronics", but it doesn't change flavor of the rice(it won't comes in contact with the rice inside the pot).Update: I've been using the unit every day for the pass two weeks, the electronic/plastic smell has subsided, excellent for cooking the Uncle Bens microwave ready rice(if cooking stuff in the microwave concerns you) and one minute quick oatmeal(well...takes 8 minutes, one serving(little cup), )... I'm pretty happy with my purchase.Update: It can only cook two cups of the included mini cup of rice, so it is good for two people... and I still love it.

all 3 Stopped working
UPDATE**After a few months of careful use, it is no longer working. It started with the light not turning on. Then it cannot stop cooking to it won’t heat up.I've used it for about 10 times since I got it. I used it to cook quinoa, rice, barley, soup + oatmeal (stop cooking after 10-15 minutes). Tip: 2 cups is a perfect amount because you don't want to overfill and it might be a pain to clean up. Cooking soup and other recipes you need to stand by to stop the cooking process to prevent the lost of all moisture. Separate compartment for heating up steamed veggies or left overs is perfect for someone who enjoys freshly made rice and a hot meal on a busy day.Clean up is easy, remove the rubber parts and give a good rinse immediately after cooking usually takes off 90% of the residue.-1 star is because no matter how much additional water I added to the pot, my rice will be a little burnt on the bottom. This is why I prefer Tatung steam pots, but this is so convenient to carry to office, campsites, road trips, etc.Update 2022:I emailed the manufacturer and they sent me two additional pots to recover the broken one. I am grateful for their generosity but they sent me two that’s uses 220 V power. I didn’t email the manufacturer back about the 220V so I bought an outlet converter. One of the two pots burned out just as quickly as my original purchase and now the last one seems to be getting the same problem. The problem with these pots starts out like this: it creates a lot of noise, no steam after 10 min of cooking, pot is just lukewarm but the rice cooker itself feels hot to touch on the outside. And eventually it will not work.

Ideal for a two person household
Compact. With our standard rice cooker I had to cook 2 cups of uncooked rice, ( and not use 1/2 of it). Now use 3/4 cup for the two of us, Cut my rice bill in half. I am very happy with if.

lacked instructions
The product looked great BUT being a first time user of the rice cooker found there were no instructions with the product on how to use it. When I went on line I was routed to cook books SO I RETURNED IT THE NEXT DAY
