Misleading Sound Claims
Definitely misleading as there is practically no sound to be heard. This wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't so prominently marketed, thus driving purchases based off the claim. Other than that, it looks nice and is pretty accurate.

Beautiful Hourglass Improves Focus
I ordered the medium sized glass with copper colored nanospheres, and I'm very happy with it. It's the most beautiful hourglass I've ever seen, and I display it on my desk. Young kids can hear the nanospheres hitting the glass, but it's very subtle, and my hearing isn't that good. It takes 23.5 minutes for all of the material to pour through to the other side. I use it when I really need to focus... tip it over and stay completely on-task until the top is empty (the Pomodoro Technique). It definitely works for me, and I enjoy the looks of the classy crystal hourglass.

Does not last 25 minutes, not even close
As others have said, it looks nice but doesn't produce any sound. That's not my issue though--mine times 15 minutes, not 25. If you want a pretty 15 minute hour glass, then this would be perfect.

Does't do what it says it does
This was a terrible purchase. Esington advertised this hourglass on their website as an "elegant and beautiful package" made of "millions of steel nanospheres produce a soothing white noise." Well... it produced that VERY QUIET noise for about 32 seconds of the 26 minutes those nanospheres ran through the glass. As for as its elegance and beauty, it appears just like the many other hourglasses available on Amazon for a quarter of the price. In other words, at $199, its a rip-off, and not as special as they claim. Look elsewhere...

Didn't make it thorough the first day!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw this online and thought it would be great to help improve my focus. I was really sold on the "white noise" they make such a big deal about. First, there is no white noise after the first 5 seconds. You can barely hear it bouncing off of the glass. When the glass has a thin layer of sand on it, the sound disappears completely. I was going to send it back since it didn't do what they said it would do.Second, it broke. It comes with absolutely no instructions or warnings. There is a small cork pad and a metal ring. I assumed this was to give it a home on my desk. I used it several time the morning I got it. I was on the phone and absent mindedly picked it up off the base, turned it over to start the sand, and set it down on my desk. 2 seconds later it fell over and exploded sending tiny nano metal balls all over my desk, into my keyboard, and into every nook and cranny around my desk. What a DISAPPOINTMENT. No warning. No instructions. The glass couldn't be any thinner. What a waste of $100!

Not so Good as the Kickstarter Video
I bought the Esintgon Glass through kickstarter. First, it does not make any white noise as it was told in the Kickstarter video. It is silent.See the Kickstarter video here. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/esington/esington-glass-the-ultimate-productivity-timer/descriptionSecond, it is not so aesthetic as it purports. Third, the glass came extremely late....I still like the concept of dividing time and increasing my focus. But overall, I am a bit disappointed.

Neat, but falls short of company promise.... No SOUND!
I purchased this from a Touch of Modern as it looked really cool and I liked the idea of the Productivity Timer. I watched the sound test video Esington has online and liked even more the idea of the 3rd trigger of the white noise. It arrived today, I can tell you 100%, it makes noise for about 10 sec! Once the steal beads pile up it is dead quite unless you put your ear right to it. It still looks cool and the steal nana beads are unique, but it does not deliver on it's promise and that is why I can only give it 2 stars.

It's PRETTY but there is no "white noise
It's PRETTY but there is no "white noise." I purchased as part of the Kickstarter campaign and another reviewer has already given the link to the video. If you want a timer that makes enough noise while the time is ticking away, this is not the timer for you. However, if you don't mind a sand timer that just looks cool, then the copper one will please you.
