- Hardy to USDA Zone 4 Common name: Accolade Flowering Cherry Broadleaf deciduous tree, to about 25 ft (7.6 m) tall and wide, open and airy crown, spreading, twiggy, long slender branches which tend to droop. Bark is attractive, smooth, reddish-brown, marked with horizontal lenticels. Leaves simple, alternate, to about 14 cm long, lightly hairy on both sides, margin has fine, sharp teeth, dark green; fall color may be orange/yellow.
