Love it!
Had this for a couple years now and wanted to say it’s a very helpful book for someone that is studying mammalogy or zoology! I’m a visual learner, so this book helped me a lot to prep for quizzes or exams in college.

There when you need it…unique, reliable and thorough
It is difficult to find easy access to animal anatomy, skeletal structure. Commonly available are skeletons of horses, cows, a generic bird and domestic dogs and cats, and so one looks on line, spending time finding something, often resulting in watered down information or images intended for children. While this book is not perfect, it does provide what anyone interested in art or animal anatomy wants: a high variety of images covering a huge number of living creatures. Some of the examples are not labeled, but based on the image a little work may add the missing information.Overall this is a worthwhile purchase, useful, informative.

Pretty good, could be a bit better tho
Love it! But nothing is labeled... I'm going through and labeling things myself which is fun for me but if you dont enjoy going through all the extra work to know whats what maybe dont get this haha. Honestly the worst thing about it is some of the print quality, but again i can go through and edit and shade things better myself if needed. It is a bit annoying to have to do but I'll live :)Pages 74-80 are all just horse anatomy btw thought that was kinda odd-

An artists must have
These illustrations are hyper real and show different views. I study concept art and creature design amd didn't realize the author has many other books. Looks like I will be buying more soon.

Wonderful books! All of the Vault Editions Books!
Any book from Vault is wonderful. Any of their books are highly recommended. What a treasure their books are! Vaults Editions delivers! Personally I prefer the printed editions over electronic edition, but the e-books are great for trips too. I also recommend to subscribe to their newsletter, because they are like small jewels of information.

Disappointed but still useful
I bought this to use for drawing references, but one thing I really don't like is that individual bones of different animals are displayed next to the full skeleton of one animal. Some of the individual bones are close-ups or different angles of bones from the main skeleton, but others seem randomly placed to fill space. To add to this, as other reviews have said, nothing is labeled. This makes using it for drawing reference quite frustrating, as it is sometimes hard to tell if individual bones correspond with the full skeleton they are next to. This book was a really cool idea, and has some good images, but was poorly done. The quality is also subpar. I wouldn't recommend buying.

Simply Amazing
I really love this book! I use it as a reference for my artwork and tattooing. My son loves looking at the pictures as well. I have nothing bad to say about it - it was everything I expected and more.
