These Ni-MH cells have nowhere near the capacity printed on them. I charged them and installed them in a motion-sensing closet light. Alkaline cells usually lasted about a month in the same device so when these were dead in less than a week I put them in a battery analyzer to test them. On the first test cycle, two of the batteries showed less than 100mAh and the third just a bit over that. I had the analyzer run its refresh/rejuvenate function and although the tested capacities did improve none of the three cells reached even 30% of their supposed capacity. I consider secondary cells (rechargeables) to be beyond usability when their capacity falls below 50%, so these are already done.

I had bought some yard stake solar lights at a deep discount store. The batteries in them had been discharged for far too long and wouldn't hold a good charge. Took them apart and they had replaceable AAA batteries. Much cheaper than buying more lights. Put a charge in these, installed them and they have been doing great in these 30 degree temperatures and cloudy days.

These don’t always work. Like one of the batteries was defective from the beginning and would run constantly. Not turn off like the others did.
