The Posters that Won the War: The Production, Recruitment and War Bond Posters of WWII

This is an absolutely fascinating coffee-table type history book. I am truly impressed at the skill and dedication it took for the author to assemble pictures of a large collection of War Bond posters from World War II. These posters are a portion of that particular time in our country's history that I was not particularly familiar with prior to experiencing this book, other than the extremely famous "Rosie the Riveter" poster.This book would make an excellent gift for any history buff among your family or friends.

If you're interested in a survey of posters from 1940-45, this is a great resource. Illo's are good (not 'great') but useable; narrative is analytical and pertinent.

The book is amazing. Teaches you so much. Book showed up in great condition and was a great gift to share with my father who is big into history. I love learning about the times that my grandfather fought in. I praise all the men and women who served and continue to serve.

Needed to purchase this book for a 6th grade history fair report/presentation on the war posters from WWII. It had a lot of good posters and information.

great book excelent pic and history

Used for a school History project resource. Shipped timely and was a very interesting book.

The edges were a little torn on the book cover, so I'd like to give it a 4.5 stars. But other than that it's a wonderful book! I'm glad I purchased it. The shipping seemed long and drawn out, but it was within the 2 or 3 week window as they promised. So can't really complain there.. I would recommend this book to others interested in the subject matter however! :)
