SB Organics Whole Vanilla Beans - Grade A Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Bean Pods for Extract, Cooking and Baking - 10 Count Moist Vacuum Sealed

I just received an order of 10 8" beans for $34.95. They are 5' & 6" beans. Without opening it, I an see that one of them barely reaches 5".. While they are vacuum packed, they seem VERY dry as there is no "give" to the beans at all. They also look very skinny... even for vanilla beans. Granted they are vacuum packed. But the moisture doesn't disappear when vacuum packing. So very disappointed. Kind of irritated too because I was willing to pay more than the competitor figuring I would get 8" pods that were moist.I will be filing a complaint based on false advertising.

THESE VANILLA BEANS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE "LONG" 8 INCHES AND MOIST. THEY ARE BARELY 5 INCHES, SOME JUST 4 INCHES. I WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEWS PRIOR TO PLACING MY ORDER. I WOULD LIKE A RETURN AND A REFUND BECAUSE THIS IS DEFINITELY FALSE ADVERTISING OF THEIR PRODUCT. I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS COMPANY

When one reads "organic" on a package, especially when paying almost double for that designation, you would expect a superior product.Not. The. Case.When I opened the shipping envelope, the product outer packaging was not sealed, just merely *almost* closed with an Amazon product sticker.Taking the vacuum sealed package of beans out of that, I couldn't even make out individual beans, it looked like a vacuum sealed package of mud. I thought maybe this is just what *actual* organic beans look like compared to lesser quality.I opened the package and could immediately tell something was off. It smelled like ketchup and dirt. Now I'm aware that there is fermentation that takes place with any organic material when it is curing, but this smelled like straight up fermented tomatoes.Again, I figured I would keep using them for their purpose (making vanilla powder for a recipe), but the whole time they just smelled completely off, and didn't taste right at all. They were sharp and tangy, nowhere near the soft but intense vanilla flavor you would expect.Unfortunately there are no returns for this product, otherwise I would have returned it in a heartbeat and not tried to see it out to the bitter end.Complete waste of time and money.

DO NOT BUY!! Awful. Old, hard, not even worth using. Ordered 10 and not even 1 was usable. Also very small, supposed to be 8 inches according to the company itself and as you can see from the picture maybe 3 come close to that. $34 for old crappy short vanilla beans. AND YOU CANNOT RETURN THEM!!

This was my first time ordering this product. I ordered this product to make vanilla extract to give out as gifts in the next coming years. After checking prices around town I was pleased to find these beans at about 1/3 of all the other prices. After handling them, putting them in the jars and getting them ready for the extract process, even after washing my hands, my hands still smelled very heavily of vanilla! So I must say, I was impressed. I will be ordering them again.

This is my first time buying vanilla beans. I make handmade ice cream and my idea is to make a premium ice cream, with high quality ingredients. The first test was a vanilla ice cream, and the result has been impressive. I tell you something, what we've once known as vanilla will be a thing of the past. The truth is that from now on I have become a lover of natural vanilla.

I bought the 10 pack of vanilla pods. The package arrived in a box with other items I bought. The vanilla pods are vacuum sealed. I have not opened the package as of yet but I love the fact that the package is sealed with no holes. Everything is in tact and once I open the package to make vanilla extract, if I like the product I will buy some more.

Very fragrant. Arrived on time and packaged well. Vacume sealed. Making extract due to corn allergy. Will update in 6 months
