A great alternative to a mounted heavy bag and worth every penny!
I'm very impressed with this boxing bag! I used to have a heavy bag that I hung from the ceiling at my old house and it was my favorite way to work out. The way it moved and swayed around allowed a lot of different training techniques and kept me on my toes. I tried utilizing a freestanding heavy bag stand but it just didn't replicate the same feeling; it didn't allow me to circle the bag and the movement of the bag was just annoying without free movement. Well, that's when I found this beauty! I love that I can circle the bag and it has just enough movement that I can still practice some ducks other movements. It was really easy to install. I didn't have any problems putting it together at all, except you do kind of have to wiggle the parts a bit to get the bolts just right. Definitely don't tighten them all the way until you have them all in their respective holes. My only complaint, and I'm not really complaining, is that the base is two separate halves. I assume this was to make the shipping easier, but the two halves force the water/sand holes to be smaller and take a LOT longer to fill. It also makes it awkward to fit the two halves together if you fill them individually beforehand. BTW, each half took a little more than 10 gallons of water each to completely fill. Once filled and completely installed, the bag is very sturdy. I'm 220 lbs, 6 feet tall, and I go all out on the bag, but I haven't had any issues with the bag's base moving even though the floor of my garage is very smooth. Now, this could be because i come at the bag from all angles, so if it does move I may be knocking it back in place with my next attack, but I haven't noticed, regardless. All in all, I love this bag and highly recommend it. It has really helped me get back into a fun workout routine.

bolt holes do not line up correctly
Overall I am satisfied with my purchase of this bag. It holds up really well well when it is struck my punches and kicks. But my only issue that I have with this bag is the assembly. I really did not even have to look at the instructions at all. It is really simple to put together just by looking at the parts. But the bolt holes that are on the bracket do not line up with the bolt holes on the base correctly. They are just enough off center that I was only able to get three of the four screws into the base. They can easily correct this issue with a redesign of the bracket using a turn lock mechanism. Sort of like what is use on vehicle fuel pump gasket seal bracket. Just turn to tighten or release.

Made my taekwondo instructor jealous
Really cool punching bag. You will definitely need to put it on some mats or carpet so it doesn’t slide around. I can really unleash on this thing.I do however have two criticisms. First, I bought two bags of sand to put in this thing but there was no way it was going to work. DO NOT BUY ANY SAND! I was able to fill it up with water pretty easily with a bucket and a funnel. When you do this make sure you put a small amount of bleach in with the water to prevent mildew. Also, fill up the base all the way with water because you will not want to disassemble it to put more in.This brings me to my second criticism. The bolts were pretty difficult to get them all in place. The bolts are positioned in a way so when you screw them in you can’t turn the Allen wrench a full 360 degrees which makes it difficult if you have big hands. And I was able to get three in but then the fourth wouldn’t go in. I recommend screwing each bolt in JUST BARELY then once they are all in place screw each one in a little at a time until they are all fully fastened. All in all I am really happy with my purchase and love kicking the hell out of this thing.

Seems to Work Great
Got this for my 19 year old son. Works great so far - he loves it. He does MMA so gives him lots of flexibility. We will see how it does when winter comes...

A challenge to fill with sand, otherwise solid
I'll update this review as I use this in coming weeks;First thing is that its almost impossible to fill this with sand. If you plan to use this somewhere cold where water will freeze, you shouldn't buy this. The fill holes are less than an inch wide, so even getting water in there is a pain. Obviously no thought went into this design, not surprising for a made in China product. The second flaw in getting sand in, is that should you find a way to use a funnel or such, the opening immediately hits a bend, which sand does not tend to flow over, quickly causing it to become blocked, and need to be shaken vigorously to shift the sand into the base.If the manufacturer ever tried to use this, they would have figured all of this out pretty quick because I found this out within 5 minutes of opening it.This should be designed more like a basketball net base, with a wide opening, and honestly a drain for winter if you wanted to use water. The fill should be on the bottom not the top so you don't contend with the weird shape the sand/water needs to run over in order to go through, and the hole should be large enough to at least fit a standard hose into. The plastic of the base is sturdy at least, so I don't feel it will break. The coil for the recoil feels well made, but I havent been able to fill it so I won't know until I get a chance in coming weeks.I plan to drill 3" holes into the bottom of the base, fill it with sand, then JB weld the plastic back together. I guess if I ever want to empty it or add more sand, I'll need to do this again.

4.9/5 --- Give customers a big funnel so filling the base is not such a hassle
These hard guys saying "yea sturdy enough - good back -- can kick decent etc" are doing just that being hard guys who hit bags. I'm telling you this bag is the best buy -- You can clobber this thing you can throw leg kicks for days on it --- its even got a guard near the base so you can bust out low kicks ---- being able to move about the bag 360 no chains --- can have it in an apartment ---- moves at most about 45 degree angle? easy to assemble --- you feel the bag when you punch but its not like a brick (absorbs like a body would? if that makes sense). If purchasing also pick up a funnel that you can pour buckets of water or empty jugs into for the base --- the opening at the base for water/sand is about the size of a half dollarIt's worth the couple hundred --- 0% buyers remorse
