I tried the technique of immersing the loofah in hot water for over half a day for over it still remains relatively rigid. So I am not a big fan of using it on a daily basis. I have a loofah for which is softer and which I can squeeze and hold it in my hand without any issues to form a good lather with the shower gel.I use it on a once a week for a proper scrub. perhaps there are people who would like their loofah to be stiff. Not me.

Works just fine, good quality, I like how it has the rope so I can hang it up. Fits nicely in my hand. Only issue is with the price, my grandmother used to grow these from a plant in her backyard so we always had them for free. I will probably keep looking for a cheaper option.

I was surprised at how quickly these loofahs get soft. I used them growing up and they were always super rough. The string is too small to loop around the handle, so I just placed a small hook in the shower and hang it on there to dry.

Great loofa, natural, vegan and biodegradable. In the beginning it's a little rough on the skin, but after 2 or 3 uses, it works perfect. The package was beautiful too, so if you want to put it in a gift basket, I recommend it!

Erm...maybe we just don't get it? Instructions claim that if you soak these stone-like sponges in hot water that they soften up. I don't see it. Ours are still rock hard and uncomfortable to use.

nice and soft after soaking in water before first use. there is a difference in loofah -- this is a great one, at a good price!
