I received these plates as a promotional for my honest unbiased review. So here it is.I received two plates, two different sizes. The smaller one is about 10.75" (8.5" across) in diameter and the larger one is about 14.25" in diameter (10" across).Pros:Environment friendly. With so much waste, These are way better than using paper plates.They are light weight so even a small child can carry them. They can be used inside or outside.White back ground with a bold animal design on each plate.Safety: I dropped each place from about 5' to the floor to see if they would break. They did not. Not even a scratch on them. So no need to worry about the kids breaking them. I tried to scratch the animal design off the plates and it would not come off. Love that.Con:These are not microwave safe. I personally would not put hot food on them. They are made of melamine and a small chance that melamine my seep into food. I recommend cold food only. Why take the risk?They are recommended for the top rack of the dishwasher. I will wash in the dishwasher and see what happens.Overall:These plates are adorable and functional. My granddaughter saw these on my table and liked them very much. She wanted to take them home with her.I recommend these plates. What a great product.
