Noobies, listen up.
Haven't had it long enough for 5 stars...Frostbite guy: what in Sam hill were you doing with this indoors idiot!!!Dangerous guy: apparently you never used a 1 lb propane cylinder. They always "poof" when detaching and sometimes attaching. Never connect/ disconnect near heat or flames. Basic frickin safety people.Update June 2020:Been using for various devices, mostly a canister mantle lantern. Has been working flawlessly.

Great price, and it works well
Appears to be nicely made, and it works as expected. I have a great backpacking stove and lantern that are also good for car camping, but expensive to run off of isobutane. This adapter allows me to run them off of refillable propane canisters at 1/10 the cost. My only complaint is that the canister will vent gas briefly as you screw it on, so don't do it indoors or near open flame.

Not at all idiot-proof
Do not tighten this thing too much—you apparently have to tighten it just enough that the rubber gaskets are *probably* sealing in the gas from escaping out this juncture. I tightened all the way for safety's sake, but this led to a strange pressure problem where the gas outflow gradually died within 30 seconds each time, until I figured out this seemingly-precarious not-so-tight trick. Also, the outflow hole is DEFINITELY *NOT* small enough for proper gas flame control. It should really be a smaller pinhole. You'll find yourself finagling the pressure control knob on your stove *so* acutely; a millimeter of a turn will get it roaring and to find a 'simmer' you'll have to adjust almost microscopically. What can you expect though, yknow? This is Amazon, and your stove already probably says that you shouldn't be using a tool like this to transform propane into isobutane flow. I *guess* I'll keep it around but I now realize I don't care about the potential 'downsides' of just buying the proper squat isobutane canisters instead of trying to be clever with contraptions like this.

Amazing!
Yes, a smidge of propane escaped my 1 liter bottle when I screwed it on. I just screwed the adapter onto my ultralight stove first, and then onto the bottle.I'm currently out of power due to a hurricane. This is my primary way of cooking right now. This was how I boiled water for my coffee. A+

Broke while the stove was on.
I used this about 3 times and each time for me there was no small poof of propane. More like a massive cloud that escaped even when I had two people screwing it on. But that wasn’t the worst part. So on it’s third use I screw it on all the way to a new 1lb propane. So about one minute in when the water is heating up it blows it top and shoots up while the part that depresses the propane is stuck in.Long story short. Broke in half while a stove was on. Launched one part like a rocket. The other part stayed on to release all my propane and tried to blow me up.

Great quality, useful
This is an excellent backup item to have while camping. I use the small propane containers backpacking, but they run out of gas quickly. This allows a 16oz propane bottle to run a backpacking stove, which is extremely useful when weight is not a problem (motorcycle or car camping).Nice quality, works perfectly.

Works great
Works perfectly. Saves money especially if you get the propane refill adapter as well to ReFill your 1lb bottels. 2or3 small butane bottles is about the same wt as a 1 lb propane. Except ya cant refill those small butane cans. As far as know, You have to puncture, cart them out anyway, and dispose of them. This makes it much cheaper to refill an reuse over n over.

It works very well.
This worked exactly as advertised. I put it on a 1 lb propane tank, hooked my stove on to it and poof! Blue flames. I'm looking forward to using it next month on a hiking/camping trip and saving money on expensive iso/butane canisters that hold less and cost three times more. Thanks, guys!

Well done
High quality. Works exactly as advertised. Feels weighty. Worth the price. Now I can use arbitrary sources to fuel my camp stove

Pretty simple, it works
Seems well made. Works well with your standard 1lb bottles.

Great adapter
Tried it out at home. Attached solidly to the canister, and the flame burned well.Time will tell how well it holds up to use, but I like having alternatives and being able to get maximal use out of my equipment. I foresee the days of me travelling with 3 different kind of fuel coming to an end.
