Can't say anything about the longevity of this can opener yet, but the quality is excellent, it slices open cans like a hot knife cutting butter, and it seems to work well on any size of can. I was pleasantly surprised when I first used it... I began turning the handle and it felt like it wasn't clamped on the can or doing anything, but when I looked at the can it was already half open. It's liquid smooth and and easy to turn the handle. Definitely recommend this can opener.

I had the can opener they advertised for many years, lost it in the divorce. I received this one and it was not at all as described or worth the money. If it had been the original I had, well worth the $30.00. This one could be purchased at Walmart for $3.00. Sent it back.

This is a very good to excellent product. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the finish of the metal. There is an edge along the handle just before the rubber where your fingers often contact as the device is rotated. This edge is a bit sharp and can cut you if not careful. Otherwise is the same quality as my old "made in Italy" "swing away" which has lasted more than 20 years. I am willing to bet this will be in the drawer for nearly as long. I may try to bevel the edge with a sanding block to make it perfect.

Awesome, well made product. Very easy to use, even with carpal tunnel. No sharp edges to worry about. Worth it! Update to review: 3 mos later, it's wonderful.

I’m disappointed. Not as good as it should be. Thought this would be of excellent quality. Solid construction for sure but not sharp enough or something? I don’t think it cuts deep enough personally. Spins around the can no problem but there’s always a few spots where it doesn’t cut deep enough so I have to go over those spots with another can opener to finish the job. WTH. I’ve tried re-cutting the can w the tool but it doesn’t cut deep enough to do the job 100%. I’ve used it a dozen times. Same result each time. I use my old American built opener which does the job right. Guess I need to go to a pawn shop or a garage sale to find an old quality American built hand crank can opener.
