Extension Set #1

This was the second track expansion we purchased for our Go set to change the layout of the track from what came with it. I love that you can get additional track and change the layouts. This pack really does not have what I was looking for, which was mainly additional straights and curves. The cross-over tracks just making racing harder in my opinion. First, the cars could hit and knock each other off the track, and you may think that is fun, buy try having to fetch the car off the floor over and over and over to put it back on the track , then tell me about it. The point is to keep the car on the track, Secondly why I would stay away from the cross-over track is that depending on where you put it in, it reverses the lanes the cars run on until it goes through the second cross-over. Why is that a pain? When the car flips off the track and kid goes to put it back on in the middle of the race, each lane is tied to a single controller on the Go kits unlike the digital kits, so what happens is you end up thinking you are putting the car back on the correct track, but the cross-over now has them backwards and now you have 2 cars running on the same controller and one not working- again, try doing that over and over and over (it gets old fast). Like other Carerra track, these are fragile, and the longer tracks are easier to disconnect than the shorter pieces. So overall, I would likely not purchase this particular pack for my needs, but if you do not mind those quirks, then you can never go wrong purchasing additional track for Carerra sets.

The cross over demands a good eye and quick reflexes as you drive around the track

Cheaply made but very fast would be better for older kids under 9 I recommend supervision taking the tracks part.

My grandsons loved the race cars and tracks, they play with them all the time

Made an excellent addition to the original race car set Carrera GO!!! - GT Contest Track Set , allowing a longer more involved race course. Track pieces fit together with no problems and were of good quality. Would recommend this addition to any of the race car sets

A very good add on to the set, it gives you mre options as to the shape of your circuit.
