I needed a good reliable battery charger for my project car, that I drive once in a while. My car uses an Optima Red Top battery which is an AGM battery so it was important for me to find a battery charger that has an option to charge and maintain AGM Batteries and this one had it. Most other AGM Battery chargers are VERY expensive so I decided to try this and it works perfectly.I had an older Optima Red Top battery that was out of juice and used this to see how well it works and this was able to charge it up pretty well. The battery levels on the unit itself is very accurate as it indicated that the battery level on the older battery was less compared to when I hooked it up with a new AGM battery. The quality is pretty good and the charger has a solid feel to it. I've had other cheaper ones where the quality looked pretty questionable and I would never risk those around my car which I have spent hours working on. One thing I wished they did was to add a fuse to the terminals but I was able to correct this by purchasing a pair of terminals with a fuse.Overall very good solid charger, would recommend!

Works perfect. It slowly prepares your battery before it starts charging. The charging rate is dependent on how much to fill the discharged power. It also utilises every space that needs to be filled with a bit of stored energy it's like filling every space of grain energy inside the battery.It restore the battery from the original discharging power. (My batt. 14V).It has a selection that let you choose the condition and settings for your battery so it that it wont destroy the battery by way of overcharging. Once you've got the right setting it has a smart trickle charging where it stops charging once its fully charge and then starts charging again if the charge drops a bit.Great unit for its price.

I've bought two of these and had the same issue with both. I bought this to maintain my car battery that's getting very little use during covid19.I felt it would be convenient to have a small maintainer that I could keep connected to my battery, which is located in the trunk of my car, permanently with the eyelet connectors. Even with this connected to my battery it went bad in a few months. Then I realized this maintainer would never reach a solid led at 100%, it was always flashing. I didn't read the instructions as well as I should have and originally thought this was normal. So I blamed this on the age of the battery and bought a new one.I wanted to top off the charge of the brand new AGM battery I purchased and the same thing happened. You can keep this connected indefinitely and it will never reach 100%. I measured the voltage it was delivering and it stayed at or slightly above 14.7v while the 100% continued flashing for a week. Mind you the maintainer should have reached 100% and stopped charging the battery by now since it was new and only slightly low on voltage. So it continues to overcharge at 14.7v.I hooked up my larger charger/maintainer and the state of charge indicated 95%. I let this one charge the battery and it completed in a couple of hours. I decided to try this Autoxel again to see if it would maintain the 100% charge over a day and it failed. It still would not show the battery at 100% charge and flashes indefinitely while providing a 14.7v charge again. Not healthy for a battery to receive this voltage continously when it's actually already fully charged.Hooked up my other maintainer and again the state of charge was at 95%. It took a short time before it was able to top it off to 100%. The Autoxel actually drains it down to 95% and can never reach full charge.All settings were set up correctly for AGM but this maintainer failed and may actually do more harm than good.I now have a battery tester and it rated the battery as good with 100% SOC and SOH after using my other charger in order to confirm these odd findings with the Autoxel were not due to a bad brand new battery.

No complaints here. Easy to figure out. Just make sure you have a good connection directly to the battery. Also, the battery I tried to charge was completely dead. Charger intially wouldn't charge it. Gave the battery a little jump off another car then reconnected and the charger went into recovery/repair mode. No issues after that. Battery was fully charged/conditioned in less than 24hrs (battery repair takes time, be patient). 5 stars for the money.Update 11/2022Charger continues to do its job. Have charged up/restored multiple batteries with this. Even put some life back into a few that needed to be replaced. Overall, it's hard to beat the ability to safely trickle charge 12v lithium batteries for less than $50, let alone $20.

I've been using a charger pretty much exactly the same as this Autoxel, which is made by Duracell. It also is a 3.8 amp charger with all the same features. I needed a 2nd charger to assist in keeping all my 12V AGM batteries charged up and ready for action. The big difference between the 2 chargers is the Duracell costs twice as much. Both are splash proof, both have the same functions & displays, and both are very well made. Both are excellent chargers but I wished I had seen this one last year as I could have had 2 of these Autoxels for the price of the one Duracell charger. Possibly in time I'll find that one is better built than the other, but for right now they are both performing perfectly.

Amazing battery charger for the price! This charger is compact and easy to use. The different settings and connectors make it super versatile as well! I bought charger because my battery kept dying even though it's new. This helped me diagnose the issue without having to take it to a store or shop. This charger saved my truck and bank account!
