Keeps my hair dry in the rain and ever so warm and soft and cute and durable

I usually read the negative (1 & 2 star) reviews first and several people moaned about the noise the hat makes. All I can say is that they must have super senstive hearing because, whilst I could hear the slight crinkly noise, which I assume is made by the waterproof/breathable layer, it wasn't obvious or bothersome at all, and only then when you were putting the thing on. The hat is warm and well made and a bargain at what I paid on here for it (£17.50). I have a large-ish head at 61cm circumference but followed other people's advice and went for the L-XL rather than the largest one and it fits perfectly. I'm off with it for a spot of winter twitching!

The waterproof lining sounds like you have your head in a carrier bag. It's also very thick, so throws the proportions of your head out wearing it round town. Fantastic bit of kit on a wet hill walking though.

The item is advertised as various sizes from small to large/extra large, but when ordering there is no option to choose which size you want, so I ordered it and by good fortune it fits me exactly.I am very happy with the waterproof Beanie but it would be nice to order the correct size as opposed to relying on luck.

I ordered this in July and haven’t yet used it because it’s a winter hat. That said, it’s warm and comfortable, even with my big head, and will be perfect for bass fishing in the winter. It does make a weird rustling noise, almost like there’s paper in it - but once it’s on it’s fine. Well worth the money.
