SUNIY Aviation-grade Telescoping Magnetic Pick-Up Tool with 15-lb. Pull Capacity

The pick-up tool itself is lightweight and has a very strong magnet. (Once I get it clean my Mom will be very happy with it, so I'm giving the tool four stars.) It came in the kind of packaging, you can just re-seal (a bubble wrap open top bag and a velvet sleeve). I'm VERY glad I opened this item up completely to take a look at it before wrapping it to give to my Mom for Christmas. I first noticed that the collapsing mechanism was difficult to expand. Then I discovered that the magnetic head of the tool, and parts of the retractable stem were covered in a clear sticky substance, almost like a glue of some kind. It is extremely difficult to remove. I'm hoping I can eventually get it all off with Dawn dish soap. I tried cleaning it with a Clorox wipe but that was a miserable failure. ('ll attach pictures later.) UPSHOT: I think someone bought this specifically to use one time fishing something out of someplace gross, and returned it like a jerk, and the company resold it to me as a "new" item. Yuck.

I'm a little disappointed in the pull. It seems like you have to be right on top of stuff for it to pick it up. I purchased it to make sure all my sewing pins were out of the carpet when I get done sewing. It works ok for that but I'm afraid one will get stuck in the carpet and this will not be able to "find" it to pull it up.

My son is obsessed with these things for some reason but the usual skinny ones break way too easy. This one is surprisingly thick and seems like it'll last.

I originally bought this item to help pull a tool out of my mom's car that fell in when my brother was trying to change her alternator. I have used it to pull the tool off and it just came with ease. I love that you can extend the "neck" to make it longer because that tool was in deep. I intend to just use it for my own car just in case that happens to me and for other things that are magnetic and hard to reach.

I bought this for just one reason. but I can tell its going to be handy in the future. I can ALSO tell you that it is long enough to reach a Hex head key from in between the cab and bed of a truck... and the magnet is quite powerful and surprisingly directional (aka the sides of it wont immediately stick if you are trying to reach between 2 sheets of metal.)

This is a terrific tool to have in a workshop. It picks up anything metallic with ease, and is slim enough to fit under most cabinets to pick up nails or whatever metallic things have rolled underneath. It seems to be solidly built, has a very strong magnet, and telescopes and retracts smoothly. No buyer's remorse with this purchase!

love the telescoping pick-up - great for garage, by tool chest and those with clumsy fingers. the thickness was more than I wanted but there was no other with these features that would be thinner in size.

It really is a cool little tool. I'm doing a head job on my Passat so I could have used a smaller diameter magnet to fit in the holes for the head bolts so that might be one thing you want to consider if you're wanting to reach in screw holes. Thanks seller.
