Very small little walkie talkies that are simple to use and work really well
Ever since I got some walkie talkies for my family a couple of month back, the excellent Baofeng UV-5Rs, myself and my 8 year old daughter have had a lot of fun with them ("Goodnight dad, over!") . However whilst they are brilliant, the UV-5Rs are overly complicated for kids - if I am honest it's fair to say they are a bit of a struggle for most adults let alone an 8 year old. In short there's too many things that get get accidentally changed on them, it's easy to knock them off the channel you selected so the other party can't hear you, or hit the button that switches between frequency and channel mode etc. I've tried to program them to just have 2 channels so there's less to go wrong, but even then there's still a lot of other factors that are confusing for an 8 year old.Wiith that in mind I got these as they seemed to be a nice, simple walklie talkie without all the bells and whistles that make the Baofengs UV-5Rs so complicated (and useful, if you need all those extra functions). These are nice and very, very small, and most importantly simple to use - there's only three buttons, all on the front of the unit. Rather than a ridiculous amount of channels like the Baofengs these are limited to 8, which makes things a lot easier - my daughter can clearly see that see needs to be on channel 1, and there's no other modes to confuse things and it's really hard to accidentally change the channel. I've done a quick range test and it's pretty decent (I'm in Birmingham so range in a built up area like this is never going to be amazing) so they really aren't just kids toys! I'm sure you'll see more of a difference on open ground, but for what we use them for it's surprisingly good. These things really are very compact - I've shown a 50p in the picture for some sense of scale, they really are tiny little things. I thought the Baofengs were small, but in compared to these they are huge. One nicc touch is they even include a screwdriver for the battery compartment - a small gesture maybe but a nice touch never the less. The only disadvantage for me over the much more expensive Baofengs is that they are battery operated using 3 x standard AAA batteries, so you'll need rechargeable or it might get expensive quickly. I'd have loved them to come with a rechargeable battery pack and charger, but at under £20 I guess that's not realistic. They look pretty cool in the camo (my daughter isn't a girly girl so pink would never be acceptable to her!) and are nice and small for kids hands. All in all I'm very happy with these - they are proper walkie talkies and not just kid's toys.

Great for the beach, hotel, walking or just stocking shelves in the shop like I do!
So, you may think that Walkie talkies are a bit childish but they have so many uses. I used to work at B&Q and we invested hundreds of 1000's in them because they make lots of things more productive. I have a couple of shops myself now and use them to see what is required on the shopfloor whilst in the stock rooms. Much easier than running around or making lists-DESIGN-Compact is the best way to describe these. very small and easy to hold in your hand with a funky, desert camouflage print on them.-OPERATION-Easy to operate. Put the batteries in with the supplied screwdriver (2 x AAA per unit), switch on and you are ready to go. If you by more than one set then you can have them on different channels or you can have each of them scanning the channels that are available. Obviously, if you are getting any interference then you can go for different channels as well but these have an auto squelch function for keeping things clear.-WHATS IN THE BOX-2 x Walkie Talkie1 x Philips screwdriver for removing the battery coverinstructionsYou will need to purchase 4 x AAA batteries to use-AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT-Non, these are a simple, easy to use set of Walkie talkies that don't need any real setting up and are the right size for your pocket or belt.-CONCLUSION-I love them, my son loves them! I have had more complicated ones in the past that were rechargeable but that brings problems of its own if you are not near the charger when they start to go. With these, if you are going away and want to use them on holiday on the beach or at the hotel, just take spare batteries, perfect.I rate these 10/10.

A fantastic set of walkie talkies!
Ordered these for my young son as he kept saying he'd like a walkie talkie. When these first arrived I though wow, they are tiny, but boy do they pack a punch. Very easy to use (for myself, not so easy for a young child). One thing i would recommend to Komvox would be to add a keypad lock so the buttons dont get pressed accidentally and change channel etc. Sound quality is very good, loud and clear. I put them to the test by driving about 2km away, and although not as clear, we could still very easily have a conversation and understand what was said. Im not too sure if they would go to 6km.I love the fact that there is a small screwdriver included in the box for the battery cover. You know how it is, can never find a screwdriver when you need one :)What would make these walkie talkie's even better would be the addition of a rechargable battery and charger, even if it did make them slightly more expensive, it would be worth it.

Great product fun for kids
I bought this for my daughters birthday party entertainment. When I first opened it I was quite surprised by the size of it, but then when my daughter and her friends were playing with it, I found that it is a right size for they little hands. We went to woodlands with walkie talkies and our kids were having great fun. The radios come in lovely bright orange colours! They were running around, talking to each other, playing with the radios, giving each other signals, talking. Please remember have to purchase batteries for these ones. And please remember to switch them off once finished playing as you can also hear some other people conversation!Great product, fun for kids!

The Best Children's Walkie Talkies Around!
I first decided to buy my children walkie talkies because of safety concerns and making sure they dont get lost when out shopping or during family holidays. So I decided to choose this specific brand due to its simple design and compact size as well as long range connection. Both myself and my children were very happy and impressed with the quality and ease of use of these walkie talkies and have been having endless hours of fun using them both indoors and out and also whilst on holidays abroad. The sound quality is clear enough and now my friends also want to buy some for their children and so id highly recommend them!
