Burmese Tea Leaf Salad Fixin's
If you've never been to a Burmese restaurant to have their Tea Leaf Salad, you're depriving yourself of something really great!

Doesn't taste or smell right
I love tea leaf salad and I normally eat it at Burma Superstar in the SF Bay Area. I was hoping this would measure up to Burma Superstar, but it just doesn't taste right. The odor is foul and the taste is extremely bitter; I wouldn't recommend this product. I mixed it with fresh lemon juice and oil, per the instructions, and I tossed the salad with some fresh chopped tomato, but I couldn't get past the first bite. As for the toppings ("assorted mixed beans"), they have a funky flavor that I found unpleasant. I'll stick with Burma Superstar.

Great for green salad too
This by itself isn’t good enough for me, so I usually add some lemon juice, olive oil and a pinch of salt and use a blender. It’s great for salad!

Does not taste right
Sorry but this does not taste like an authentic tea leaf salad to me at all. This dressing is way too bitter and flavorless and the toppings are basically just crunchy garlicy pieces. I am not impressed. A real tea leaf salad is full of flavors and this just isn't what I expected. It's also overpriced. I guess I will go to an actual Burmese restaurant to get my tea leaf salad fix!
