Works great for antelope hunting
I bought this bipod to put on a Tikka T3 Lite. I received this bipod four days before my pronghorn antelope hunt. It was easy to install and use. Opening day of my hunt I was able to harvest a beautiful buck with my daughter. My shot was made easy by this bipod. I like that this model swivels and is super easy to expand and retract.

Solid, good quality bipod
Got this bipod mainly for hunting. I used it to zero in my rifle to 200 yards before going. It works well sitting or resting on something in front of you. It's a little awkward to carry on your back but not too bad. I had not problem with it digging into my back or anything. But it puts alot of weight on the front of the rifle, so make sure you have a better sling than I do or it will keep falling backward on your shoulder.High quality, easy to use. I have had cheaper ones, and this is way more stable.

Great bipod for shooting from the seated position
As always, Harris makes some great stuff. I put this on my AR15 for coyote hunting. Most coyote hunting we do is done from the seated position and I didn't want to use shooting sticks. This is the 12-25" model. I chose this over the S-25C, which is the 13-27" model. I searched up and down to find the difference between the S-25 and S-25C, but found very little. I believe the only difference is the mentioned height. This height works perfect for me. I'm about 5'11". If you're a big guy or sit on slopes you may want the taller of the two. I give it 4 stars only because I always have issues with the Harris Bipods coming unscrewed from the sling swivel. I've used blue loctite and and tightened a quarter turn past hand tight with a screw driver, but it still works its way loose somehow.

Solid Performance and High Quality
I have this Harris Engineering S25C on my Savage Axis .308. This tripod is just as stated with no bad surprises. It attaches easily and securely and is great for shooting from the prone or seated position. A shoulder strap lug is provided (to the replace the one used to attach the Bi-pod) on the base and when the bi-pod is folded forward in it's storage position, it does not impede the normal use of the shoulder strap. I love the hinged unit so that I can level my shot quickly when on uneven terrain. The unit is a quick to take down as to set up as the legs retract with the push of a button. I am please that i paid a bit more for quality instead of buying junk. If I ever need another bi-pod you can bet that this will be the brand I buy.

I am 6'5" and it works good for me while laying down but my dad is ...
The tubing is long enough that the internal springs make a bit of chatter. The noise is not loud enough to be a worry when stalking game. Other than that it is smooth and rock solid. Fully extended it is tall enough to use sitting so you are able to shoot in tall grass, which is why i had to buy this tall bipod because my smaller one always left grass n my scope. Non-extended it is a bit of a stretch to shoot prone. I am 6'5" and it works good for me while laying down but my dad is 5'10" and its uncomfortable for him to shoot prone, doable but uncomfortable.Over all it is excellent.

I have used many different lengths and for in the field this is my favorite. the 13
I have used Harris bipods for 20 yrs and they hold up extremely well. This one appears to no exception. I have used many different lengths and for in the field this is my favorite. the 13.5" length works wellI for prone shots will the 27" length gets you up out of the grass and is great for sitting. I really appreciate the swivel feature. It makes removing cant from your rifle on an uneven surface quick and easy. I recommend getting the swivel tightening handle as the nut can be hard to turn without it. Overall great product that I look forward to using for many years.

Steady Bipod That Works For Me
This bipod steadies your shot from a bench or in the field on a tree for those of us getting a little older and not as stable without support. I push down and forward on this bipod and haven't had a problem hitting my target with my 300 RUM rifle.

Essential For Any Rifle
I love the 12-25. I am 6ft and use this for all of my rifles in the field. The 12" setup is great for prone shooting at the range and the 25" is really nice to have when you need to take a shot from a seated position. Unit feels very sturdy and well made. Harris products are always built to last . Only used for one season but won't ever hunt without it despite the added weight. Highly recommend using a claw or gun bearer sling when you have a bipod on. The Safari sling's don't work to well since rifle will become heavier toward the barrel end.

CUT LINE SNIPER
I am familiar with Harris Engineering and would use no other brand. My son has this unit exactly except it does not pivot. this one is better for non level ground... very happy. You may save a couple of dollars on a wobbly cheaper unit, but when you sit on a cut-line for days and your trophy finally shows up, do you really want a bi-pod you do not trust.Take my advise and be a sniper not a shooter.
