Compact and efficient charger for all-day use
This unit, at 5200 mAh, is relatively compact and not too heavy. The company sent me a review sample, and, having reviewed countless power banks, I was interested to see what might be new. Here's a rundown.PROS1. Not too heavy (not light either but it's not going to be in this power range).2. Very compact and easy to carry.3. Has a usable flashlight (enough to find your way in a dark parking lot).4. Has an effective push button control. One push for on or off, double tap for flashlight.5. Very sturdy and well-built.6. Good efficiency (see below).CONS1. Odd shape does not lay flat.2. Only one output (many such units have two).3. No quick charging option --- seems to just have a 1 amp charging rate.NEUTRAL1. Average recharge time.DISCUSSIONMy Note 3 phone has a 3500 mAh battery, which is large. (An iphone 6 has an 1810 mAh battery, the 6s has about 2900 mAh). My tablet has a big 9500 mAh battery. End to end charging efficiency with power banks is typically around 65% (the bank is maybe 80% and the device 80%). So you would expect this power bank to fully charge my Note 3 once and give my tablet something under half a charge. It should charge an iphone 6 maybe twice. (Results vary a lot with this sort of thing.)I actually got better results, and to make a long story short I estimate the efficiency at 85-90% which is outstanding. You should get numerous half-charge "top ups" on a smartphone and one reasonable top-up on a tablet. That's pretty good. It's enough to power your smartphone for a day or two of use, although not quite enough for a long weekend.I was a little disappointed at charging speed. At 1 amp things can take a while. You're looking at an hour and a half or more to give a half charge to my Note 3. Actual results in my trials were in this range.Bottom line: nice compact unit, easy to carry, quite efficient, decent flashlight, powerful enough for the size. One star off for slow charging, hence a four star rating.

A convenient charger that fits into a purse or a pocket and will charge almost any device quickly
This compact battery charger is very handy. You charge it up via micro-USB and then it's ready to go when you need it.It comes with a very handy multi-adapter that will charge a new iPhone (lighting) or an older iPhone (30 pin) or pretty much anything else (micro-USB). It adapts the charge to what your device needs. At 5200 mAh, it will charge most phones about 3 times. It could top off an iPad, giving you a few extra hours of use, but I would get a bigger battery if that's what you needed it for.It also comes with a built-in handy flashlight. Just press the power button twice rapidly and it turns on. Double press again to turn it off.In short, this is a very conveniently sized external battery that would be great to have along if you are traveling or hiking, or just out all day and you don't know when you'll be able to plug in. It fits nicely in the purse or a backpack or a pocket. (Sample provided for review.)

See the key hole AND never lose your phone charge!
While I have not actually had any use for the flashlight, I will say it is a clever feature. My wife says she used it the other night because she had the charger in her purse (she connects it to her phone while at work so she does not lose her battery). She used it to see the key hole in the door when she got home and had to unlock. So, that being said, the real beauty for me with this is that I can have a small "bonus" battery in my pocket with my phone when I am out. It holds a good charge and keeps me powered up for a considerable amount of time. In fact, I have yet to get a low battery chime during the day since using this. Well worth having. This item was provided in exchange for an honest review.
