2013 release, the fourth album from the British Metal band. Over the past two years a lot has happened with Eden's Curse. After the release of their third album Trinity (2011), the band had a shake-up and as a result some members have changed. Over the past several months the band's unity has grown, which has led to the creation of Symphony of Sin, the most sophisticated album to date from the melodic Metal-heads. Over the hour plus of the album, every ambitious rock fan will find something to love.

Great Comeback
Once again Eden's Curse survives the threat of elimination, this time with the departure of singer Michael Eden. With this present incarnation of the band they continue in the melodic power metal vein but with significant AOR sensibilities. New singer Nikola Mijic has that Journey-esque quality that makes the music here immediately enjoyable. Whereas Eden's voice sounded like a Michael Sweet (Stryper) clone, Mijic brings a unique blend of styles and range to the mix. Overall, the songs are typical of the genre but extremely well-written and executed to perfection. Great hooks, great guitar leads, just the right amount of keyboard in the mix - fans of shred guitar will not be disappointed by the credible playing of Thorsten Koehne who has matured considerably since the band's debut release. Lyrically Paul Logue - who also produced this lush recording - continues to pen most of the "good vs. evil" type lyrics for which this band is known. Highlight tracks would be "Break The Silence," "Sign of the Cross" and the classy power ballad "Fallen From Grace," but there really is very little in the way of filler as all of the songs are solid. As always, AFM has done a great job with the packaging and the scintillating artwork. AOR/melodic metal really doesn't get much better than this and it's evident the band put a lot of effort into making this a special release.

back in the game
glad to see this band coming out with new material after having so many problems with their vocalists..original vocalist michael eden left the band followed by the hiring and sudden departure of marco sandron..now they have enlisted the vocal talents of alogia singer nikola miji and also a new keyboard player steve williams from the band powerquest.both of these guys do an amazing job on this record and it is definitely a worthy addition to the mighty edens curse catalog.while this release doesn't pack the metal power of some of the older material they have went to a more "commercial sound"on some of the tracks...on a whole i think they have done a pretty good job on their 4th full length.it is not without it's flaws, but for the most part it is still a great record and an enjoyable listen.

Eden's Curse comes back strong
Michael Eden (St. Allen, Brobeck, whatever name he's using now) is gone on vocals. The new singer is decent. He has a more mid-range, muscular voice. The previous EC albums were almost instant classics for me, but it took repeated listens for this one to hook me; but hook me it did. The lyrics are still very much in the good vs. evil and socially conscious vein that they've always had. The music is similar to past releases, but it is not quite the same sound either. Many are describing it as more commercial than past albums, but I always thought past albums were pretty commercial too. All I can say is this: if you like past EC albums, give this one a chance and I'm pretty confident you're going to love it.

A Rockin’ Symphony
One of their finer albums. They seem to get better with every release. I’d recommend this disc to fans of guitar oriented, melodic hard rock.

New direction for a really good band. They have a new singer and sound
New direction for a really good band. They have a new singer and sound, and it works well. They IMO sound nothing like they did before, but in a good way. I have always liked EC, but now I love them. Check this disc out.
