Item has two intensity levels giving good range of visibility outside and inside. It can be set up free standing on a manually levelled 3 point base, but also has a standard screw base for tripod (not supplied) mounting. Ideally used with green filter glasses when using outside. Easily set up with self levelling capability giving horizontal and vertical guide lines. The self levelling clamp makes it safely portable. Complete with compact soft case. Very reasonable price.

Works well well but could do with a screw fixing so you can Mount it to a stand or camera pod

Bought specifically to hang "Tartan" wallpaper as shown. For perfect squareness make sure lock is off ( originally thought this was the on- off switch and turned it on) which didn't help . Lines are far brighter than picture quality shows. All in all most pleased with the results as can be seen. have yet to try the usb cable supplied , but would assume it would need to be plugged into an adaptor and left connected , as batteries (not supplied) are not rechargeable.

Very pleased. I got this to help extend and level my driveway. Much easier than lots of pegs and spirit level. After looking at reviews of many of these I chose this one because it seemed a bit brighter (green) than most in similar price bracket. (warning some reviews of the popular models are clearly copies/fake) . I did most of the set up at dusk where the beam was clearly visible and brigth over 15 metres and could be seen at 30 metres in the dark. The spot can be seen vaguely in full daylight, but works best in cloudy or dusky conditions. Suggest doing set up in dim conditions, but can verify settings in daylight. Very bright inside. I suspect its on the legal limit for laser brightness and safety. It has a dimmer indoor setting which I'd recomend for safety reasons.Very easy to use, I like the usb as it attaches to a portable lithium battery, but it does have internal batteries as well. It was repeatably consistent; over a week, I knocked the pegs out of line and re-measuring it was within 0.5cm at 15m distance every time. The line does widen with distance, but within the specification. Internal spirit level and adjustable feet help level it for set up (although its easy to pile up dirt under a platform to level). If not level it flashes a warning. Has a lock to protect the gyroscopes. Saved hours of set up time. Been round the house re-leveling things... Very pleased, it should have more recommendations as seems a cut above the popular ones seems on a par with the high end brands.

The product performs nothing like what’s shown in the images or description. The laser lines are too short to be practical (300mm horizontal!?) and the self levelling gyro doesn’t work. Bought it thinking it would be a handy portable device for quick checks when surveying etc but it’s so unreliable you can’t trust it. Don’t buy this if you want to use to use it as it’s intended...to build plumb and level! No idea how this has been rated by people, dread to think what their builds look like after using this. Seller needs to remove this product from amazon. Ignore the 1 x star rating, Amazon makes you add a rating before a review can be submitted, zero stars from me.

I couldn’t wait to give it this a go when I first got it, so having charged it with batteries and got it on the tripod I was ready to roll. However, I was finding it a bit difficult to get it to work properly. But, after having read the manual, I found that the measure had to be within a certain amount of degrees of horizontal in order to show a perfectly level line. I was able to work out when it was not with the correct tolerance of degrees when the line was flashing constantly. Even with those small issues, I thought his was a pretty cool little machine being only about 5cm square. The screen of the laser is protected when not in use and I thought the protective case was a good addition. I found with a bit of practise it was easy to use and after a few goes at using it, I found it did certainly speed up doing jobs.

It’s ok if you don’t needed it low level as too high if on tripod and too low if nothing as laser isnt adjustable so a pile of books maybe to get right height for right height level .

Used this product to find the levels for a garden pond project and it worked well. In full sunlight you cannot see the horizontal/vertical lines but the central green dot is still visible so you can mark out points at the same height. On a grey day or early evening you can see the lines clearly.It is plastic (get what you pay for) but for home use either indoors or out recommend it. The tripod legs are adjustable to try to get the unit level enough to work (it needs to be level enough before the self levelling feature can activate) but found it easier to balance the whole unit on a tripod and adjust that.
