TLDR: I wear glasses and headsets dig into my head causing me pain and leaving marks into my skull from pressing my glasses into my head etc. These have not (at least not yet).. and I am so excited. They feel roomy and nice, I was wearing them when I didn't even need to cause I just don't mind them all day long. (SO NICE!) I had to write this, I only had them like 2 days now. Wore them all day today and I cannot believe I'm not in pain like I have been from my hyper x cloud 2. My other headset broke. The mic just doesn't work. So I needed a new one. I didn't put much thought into this, It was a good price and kind of impulse bought it after making sure it was in fact a USB connection because I can't deal with finding the right port for the circle ones/jacks. (I am very tired). I wear glasses, my headsets tend to dig and cause pain into my head. These are not... very roomy feeling. My only gripe as my other headset mic could come out. I could move the headset any way and put the cord on either side of me. These I have to wear them one way only. But that's not a big deal tbh. I like the cord to dangle on my RIGHT side. But it is on the left and has to cross over me. But whatever. I can work on solving that some other time. I totally didn't realize the RGB colors changing on the sides, pretty neat. Mic and sound are nice. People are not complaining about not hearing me etc. Very nice. I've had issues with discord in the past but no issues atm. (Not sure if it was headset related at all). I may want to get a stand for them or something just because. Very happy with my purchase so far! (Also thanks to the company for shipping it so fast! ) Update: I reviewed this Feb 10-22. Updating now jul 28-22. This review is getting notice so I figured I might as well update. I'm able to wear this with my glasses for long periods, I game daily with friends talking etc. I find them to be quite comfortable. As far as discord goes, I only got the error of my friends not being able to hear me a couple of times. What resolved that was just closing and restarting the app. Restarting computer. Things like that. I think it's discords issue tbh. Anyways. I found also as I wear glasses, that my glasses weren't fitting me that great, and I needed a wider frame so it didn't cut into my head as much, that also helped with head discomfort. It also stood up to my cats chewing at the mic end. I'm so glad they I can retract it during storage. Edit:9-30-22. I got another notice for this. So here's some more. I got really busy with life etc so I haven't been gaming or using this much. But when I did use it for the weekend all day they were great! But I noticed when taking them off my ears enjoyed the break. Lol like I'm not used to having stuff around my ears anymore. But still really like these. And no issues with them. They work great. Using discord, people can hear me. My cats love to gnaw on the mic still. I'm really glad I can retract the mic and then I flip the headset over -so Mic faces downward(didn't buy stand, just put them on my PC tower). If I leave it up they with try to sell gnaw at it. Or My cat loves to then gnaw the cord for my attention. I usually stop to give attention so they aren't doing it to long per attention seeking session overall. Cord is going strong, no frays yet. My other razer's were dying. I don't know, wire loose? Something- but it was fading out. Like the audio wouldn't play on the left side. So I was like, whelp... let me get some new ones. Not cheap ones. But not like $100+ headphones. Got these. For whatever reason, my old ones were working again... so I didn't install this right away. ...eventually my old razer's started fading again. So I was like.. ok, let's go ahead and install these! That's why I got them. I didn't realize these were a higher quality headphonse than the ones I had. The design was already better -> the mic can like... disappear into the headphones. Super convenient. The wrappy thing around the wires is attached to the wires so you can't lose them. Like, these are little thing I didn't even think about that impressed me because it showed how much detail and care went into this product's design. But the thing that got me... was when I plugged them in and put them on. The previous one I had used "surround sound".... but if that were true.. these ones use "surround sound god-tier plus". Like.. I had a nice zelda medley playing on my computer... but played through these headphones.... it was such a heavenly delight in my ears. My mind was blown. Think I cried a little. It was beautiful. And then IN GAME. Oh man. The tracking of where things are... like a character would be talking.. and it'll be so sensitive in terms of where they are in relation to my location. It was so dynamic. Someone could whisper into my left ear- and I'll feel that whisper in my left ear. Great work on these headphones!! For the price point, I was really satisfied!

My reviews are detailed. If you want the short and thin, it's a good product, but buckle up for a wild ride to get what you think you paid for. 7.1 surround is not easily obtainable. Now, I should start by explaining that I am very technical. I am a software developer who for ten years ran a custom to order computer company that catered to enthusiasts with hefty hardware and software needs to target specific gaming goals. The device is gorgeous, durable, sounds awesome, super comfy, has a very nice feel to the cord, and my favorite feature: the physical mute button when you squeeze the extendable, flexible microphone is super satisfying... and glows red when you're on mute. The style and look is absolutely inspiring, and all this other stuff is awesome...yet I still can't run this thing in 7.1. They say there's a code to enter in the Synapse app. They say after you register the product you'll get the code (your serial number is under one of your ear pads, BTW... You're welcome). They also say that this is virtual 7.1 based off 5.1 technology, and most games only support 5.1 anyway. They ALSO say that if you want to you can pay for a new code to subscribe to the ability to use 7.1 features. I would sooner sell it than to pay a subscriber fee to use my own headphones. So after three days of messing with this thing I've totally given up on some email they claim to have sent, some code to enter into another software suite they want me to download, and expected software letdowns from the games I play that don't support 7.1 anyway. I don't see a need for all this hubbub... just pack the ability with the product and make the software run it... there's no reason for this "enter a code to get another code to download a new bit of software to enter another code" crap. That may have been exciting for 12 yearolds in the 90's but we just want it to work. For the love of all that is holy... for the prices we pay, just make it work!

These have to be some of the best headphones that I have owned in a long time, the only thing that I can compare them to is a pair of professional Sennheiser DJ headphones. Way deeper and clearer basses, smooth mids and crisp highs, I have used these for both music and gaming, as well as general video watching and movies. Just wow. I got these to be a pair of dedicated headphones for my gaming pc. I am finally getting to review these at the 1.5 year mark, and I use these all the time, like everyday. I expect these to last a very log time as they are very well built. These also have audio drivers that are built to last, I dare anyone to turn the volume past 50% on any game, they are so loud, anything past 50% volume is just Ludacris. Make sure to use the built in software called synapse to tune them to your liking, I use the software to turn up the bass for clearer sound at lower volumes. My only complaint and the only thing I'm kicking myself for is that I didn't get the wireless version of these. I have headphones from all the major brands, and all of them are Bluetooth except these. Lesson learned. I will be getting the Bluetooth version of these as I game on my phone and I can't use these on my phone since they are USB type A connection, and even if I could they would drain the battery quick.

I always worry when I see the few bad reviews among lots of good reviews so I'm pleased to report that the product I received is excellent. Sound quality is great and it can go very loud. The noise cancellation is superb. I can snap my fingers without the mic picking up the sound but when I speak it is crystal clear. Retractable mic is an excellent feature, as is the mute button on the tip of the mic. The RGB lights are neat but since I can't see them on my own head they don't have much use for me. For a streamer or someone else with an audience it's a cool touch with lots of options. The foam on the earpieces are very comfy and cool to the touch. Anyway, for the $70 I paid, I think the quality is superb. Lastly, if you run into issues with disconnecting and popping sounds, make sure your USB port is providing enough power. I thought I got a lemon at first but after plugging into a powered port it works flawlessly.

The headphones are very comfortable and the set is very esthetically pleasing, it looks really nice. It isn't too heavy and it doesn't hurt your ears. The sounds is great, the 7.1 surround sound sounds amazing. There are a lot of options for lighting and sound within the Razer Synapse application, making this headset very personalizable to suit your own needs in regards of sound and how you want it to look, with a full equalizer, preset equalizer settings to choose from, and multiple lighting effects to choose from. The headset is quality made and feels smooth and nice, looks like a very complete and finished product. The mic sounds great and the retractability feature is super super awesome, that way if you decide to use your own mic it isn't sticking up off of the side of the headset. It keeps the mic out of the way. Overall this is an amazing headset, another great product from Razer. Sounds amazing, looks amazing, feels amazing, and is built to suit anyone's specific needs. Highly highly recommend.

I got these to replace the my Razer Kraken Kitty Edition headset and these are a lot better in terms of comfort. I don't get answer pressure headaches from wearing this headset for long periods of time. I also don't feel like it's weighing down on my head while I wear it. As far as sound goes there about the same as the kraken kitty edition but maybe just a bit better since you can toggle the THX surround sound with the side button thats on the headset itself. The mic is pretty good, retractable and flexible. Although, it doesn't really cancel out background noise while you talk but I wasn't expecting it to be perfect. (Just stick a foam windscreen on the mic if you want to try and reduce background noise a little more). Mic quality is decent, my friends can hear me just fine but its not crystal clear quality if you were expecting that. Headset works great for PC but if you're planning on using this for PS4 it works ok but you're not going to get the same results as PC. (Don't have an Xbox so can't tell you what its like on it). Otherwise I really this headset better than my previous kraken kittys
