Boba plastic is the wooooorst
I was looking for an alternative because being about that boba life can be pretty plastic heavy... at least the cups I can recycle, but I wondered if they made reusable boba straws? Of course! The internet has everything lol. They work really well, easy to clean (obviously don't let them sit for a long time without cleaning) and I get to be happy getting boba without throwing away so much plastic. It does have the downfall of not being able to puncture the boba cup seal like a boba straw would, but I just use my keys to screw a hole in! Takes a split second. It's worth the slight hassle for a better environment!

In plastic wrappers inside a plastic bag.. WHY?
NO THEY DIDN’T! 😧Most of us buy stainless steel or glass straws for ONE CRITICL REASON; no plastic. This existential crisis is even more threatening than atomic bombs and nuclear weapons combined, but Coco Straws sent me both straws individually wrapped in plastic straw wrappers, and placed in a large plastic bag.I‘M PISSED OFF-I chose to have all my items delivered at once to reduce the amount of packaging and carbon emissions.None of the items I bought, were made of plastic nor were they fragile. These aren’t made of glass, or porcelain. They’re F@CKING metal!!. What would happen if they got wet? Nothing, they’re MADE TO GET WET!Coco Straws is not worth buying from. I would’ve spent $3 more to get 5 stainless Steel Straws that would’ve come in 1 paper package.Don’t just take my word for it, here’s a picture.Plastic; an indestructible man made invention. If it goes into your trash, it WILL all end up in lakes, rivers, beaches, on land, in landfills, and in the oceans.Only -9% is “recyclable”, and can take 1,000 years for many plastics to break down, but since it’s incapable of biodegradation, it only break down into smaller pieces, while leaching toxic chemicals into the earth or waters, killing over 1 million marine life annually. There’s so much plastic waste that humans unknowingly consume around 1 credit card worth of plastic every year. The US alone has produced enough plastic waste to fill every single New York skyscraper 23 x’s over.By 2050, there will be more plastic waste in the ocean than fish. For more info:• BBC Documentary Drowning in Plastic,• Netflix‘s History 101 (S1 Ep4: Plastic)• Prime Vid Documentary, Sustainable Living; Inspiring Stories for a Sustainable Future.

Lack of a pointy end makes it hard to git the boba
The straws are nice and wide and heavy, but flat on both ends. Even if you're not using them to pierce a plastic film on top of a cup - and in your own home, you probably aren't - the normally-slanted end of a boba straw prevents the tip from resting against the bottom of the cup at too narrow an angle to actually pull up any boba. As these straws are sold, I can put 30g of pearls in a full quart of drink and not end up consuming half of the pearls before the drink is gone - even while putting in the effort to actively hunt the pearls down while drinking. It just so happens that our household has access to a metal shop where we were able to grind down and then debur one end of each straw. Now slanted, they work great! I have no idea why they don't come made this way.

Nice straws but...
I got the one with the pointed end. I love how wide and long the straws are, and they are made of high quality steel despite being cheap. However, one thing I just don't understand is why they don't come with a rubber mouthpiece. Because these are made of metal, it's very dangerous to bring the cup with these straws to your face quickly because the if the metal hits your front teeth they could easily chip or crack! So I have to be very careful and slow when I bring the cup to sip from these straws. Either provide detachable rubber mouth pieces or make the mouth-end rounded like the straws made by TECHNECO

Blow-gun..Straw, it's all the same
Never drank out of a metal straw before but as an occasional boba drinker, thought I'd get these along with some pearls. Tell you what, glad I did! How else are you going to slurp bonba? The only thing I would caution you on is that these are metal...as in chip your tooth if you come in fast and hard and kinda miss.

Does NOT work for bubble tea
Wish I could return this. Bought it for bubble tea. It doesn’t work for that. At all. The pearls do not fit. So, I have two useless wide straws.

Great for boba
I got these because every glass straw, no matter how wide, was still a smidge too skinny to smoothly drink bubble tea. These are the perfect width. I have to bring a pencil or something sharp with me in order to pierce the plastic film on the cup, but that's not a huge issue for me. I'd love a reusable straw with a sharp end, but I imagine with these steel straws that'd be quite the hazard.Quite easy to clean as well. Sometimes I'll even put them in the silverware basket of the dishwasher, and they'll come out just as clean.

Well-made straws
I like to make boba tea at home, but I don’t like the waste of plastic straws that comes with enjoying boba. Then I looked up reusable boba straws and I found these. They are really wide so that the tapioca pearls fit through. They are easy to clean especially with the brush that it comes with. The only problem I have is that the brush isn’t long enough to fit the length of the straws, the brush is just a few centimeters short, but aside from this the straw does really help with the cleaning. This is a big money saver and environment saver because I don’t have to buy straws anymore and I’m not adding more plastic waste to the environment.

Good for the environment and conscience
I haven’t tried these with pearls yet but so far these reusable metal straws have been great. I rinse them after use, let the dishwasher clean the inside, and they come out clean. Keep in mind: metal straws become really cold (or hot) depending on your drink, and these are hard for the compulsive straw-biters out there.

Perfect size
THe straws have a perfect size for bubble tea and they feel pretty solid. The only detail is that if you drink smoothies you have to clean them extremely well because the included brush may not remove all of it
