Works despite not being able to make a “seal.”
I am very sensitive to fumes. I purchased this mask way before the COVID-19 pandemic to wear during my commute because diesel fumes, other types of car exhaust, and fumes from the nearby Tesoro refinery give me headaches and make me feel nauseated.I don’t need to wear the mask the entire time that I’m driving. I simply hold it over my face when fumes come into my vehicle cabin, which is for a only a portion of of my one-hour commute.Since I don't actually wear the mask, (just hold it up to my face at times) I am still able to talk on the phone and use voice commands while I’m driving.I recommend this product In a way. I think it is effective, but I don’t think it lasted nearly as long as the product information claims it will.Next time I will spend a bit more money to purchase a 3M product because I trust 3M to tell the truth about their product performance. I believe I will end up saving money per hour of use.
