This is the best lotion product I’ve used for tanning. I am so pleased with the results. I’ve been applying every 4 days to keep the fair to medium tan look. My daughters complimented my tan and then bought the product for themselves. I decided to try this product instead of doing a spray tan. I’m so glad I did because I’m just as happy with the results.The first few applications I used nitrile gloves, then used my bare hands when I ran out of gloves on vacation. Im happier with the look of the tan on my wrists and back of hands when using bare hands. After the application, I apply soap to the palm of my hands then pat them dry and let the back of my hands air dry. This helps the tan to continue onto my wrists and back of hand/s. Sometimes I lotion my body before I apply the product or I apply lotion just after the product drys. I like both results. The results look natural and even and my coconut lotion helps with the smell of the product on my skin.The smell isn’t bad it’s just unusual. It kept me awake for a little while when I applied it just before bed the first time. I’m enjoying a beautiful tan for the first time since the summer I spent in Hawaii 12 years ago.Thank you so much for a great product!

I just tried this brand after wanting a more “clean” self tanner. I’m a self tanner for years. I like so many things about the lotion in medium to dark. (I am naturally olive skinned.) First of all, you can see where the lotion is applied because it goes on white, but fades to skin color as you rub it in. I had nice even coverage, no streaks or blotches. Next, it’s not smelly and the product doesn’t stain clothes. I put on white shorts after 15 minutes with no transfer. The color develops over 8 hours. In the photo, I have applied twice. After waiting 8 hours on day one, I decided that I wanted a little darker tan, so I reapplied on day two and it’s perfect. I love that it’s buildable to go between a spring vs. summer tan shades. Lastly, my skin looks and feels hydrated. I bought the 7.5 oz. and it’s a great value for the price. So glad I tried this self tanner!

Okay…. Please read before buying or applying it. I have naturally fair skin and don’t want to sit in the sun to tan as I’ve been more conscious about sun damage. I bought this stuff as well as the Cerave body moisturizer because my skin has been super dry and I also planned to mix the products. It took some trial and error but I figured out a solution. After I shower/shave/ and exfoliate well (I just use the Tree Hut brand) I will apply about a dime sized amount of this lotion with some of my cerave lotion and rub it between my hands to mix and blend it and then I put it on my arms/legs/body and blend it well with my hands. I then take my eco tools tanning mitt on top and blend it even more using that until my skin feels “dry” or like I’m not blending it in anymore. I go gentle on my knees and elbows since those areas tend to be drier. I also used the Cerave lotion BEFORE to moisture all of my skin- then I go in with the tanning lotion and Cerave lotion mix and apply it. I then let it sit for the recommended 15 minutes BEFORE putting anny clothing on and I usually just go to sleep with it on. WASH YOUR HANDS after you use the mitt. This will prevent them from staining. I use a small buffing brush I got from target or I’ll use the eco tools tanning brush also from target to blend my hands and feet well so they’re at-least not pale white. For my face I mix the tanologist face drops with my night moisturizer- only a few drops and then use my hands to blend it well- don’t forget your neck- and to blend it up into your hairline so there’s no line. Apply the tanning lotion to your whole body including shoulders and neck/ the back of your neck- everywhere and BLENDDD with your hands and use the mitt after to smooth the product even more then I use the tanning brush by eco tools to blend my face/hands/ and feet after I used my hands to get most of it blended and put on. You can build this tan up gradually and it doesn’t make me look orange and with the routine above it has worked well for me. I did get streaks the first time I used it but I did not blend it with the Cerave lotion using my hands. Make sure the 2 products are well combined by rubbing it through your hands before applying it. Best self tanner I’ve ever used. I got the shade light/medium because I’m new to tanning and also wanted it to look more natural on me. Pictures are the day after I used this product.

Best self tanner I've ever used, come is amazing, medium to dark. My natural skin color is white, but neutral color... not pale, not olive or dark. For those who say the smell is bad, I have a very strong sense of smell & there is nothing bad about the smell at all. Is it some fruity/floral scent? No. But is it a bad scent? No. 4 stars, only because it darkens sun/age spots. I think I may try to use a q-tip & soap after application & clean the lotion off some of the darker spots on my arms/legs. Color lasts a good week, just make sure to exfoliate in between applications.

I’ve been trying to find cleaner options to the beauty products I use. I’ve been looking at this tanning lotion for a while. The price was my biggest hurdle. When it came out on sale, I decided to order it. Firstly, I would say my experience in application with a tanning mit was similar to any other lotion tanner. It takes more time to make sure you get an even application. That being said, I got an even coat with my first application to my legs (which is normally the only area I use it on). Ankles and knees are always tricky so I try to only apply to these areas with a lighter amount left on the mit after applying to my legs or thighs and I did pretty well with that method. So far so good! The light to medium shade gave my a very natural sun-kissed look. I am not looking for a dark tanning bed/spray look. I just want a little color on my legs that just don’t seem to get any color out in the sun (with sunscreen of course) any more. There is a faint pleasant fragrance out of the tube. As the day goes on, I could smell a much fainter smell similar to the much stronger smell I got from regular cream self tanners. I can live with that. Using it only on my legs, one tube should last me several months. Still wish it wasn’t so expensive.
