Very solid construction, weatherproof, name-brand. Well worth the added cost.
This review will also be posted for the matching harness. Haven't installed yet, but it looks like I went with the right relay and harness. I browsed for a good while (way longer than I should have for a silly relay) and I definitely could have gone for a cheaper version and been alright. However this relay is intended to switch power for an accessory block on my motorcycle so I wanted something reliable. To start out, I will only be installing heated grips but eventually may add more items. This relay is solid. Way better than your average auto relay, and it comes from a quality name. The harness is equally impressive. 12 awg for the load carrying wires and it looks like 16/18 for the others. Pretty good length as well, which seemed to be a common complaint from the cheaper items. The relay and harness are also weatherproofed, which isn't required but is definitely a nice touch. Very solid connections - I could've gone much cheaper and bought an average relay and used spade terminals instead of a harness vs. the $30 I spent for this setup - but I'm happy I went for the better relay.

Quick fix to get tilt working
Did have to reuse my old mounting bracket because this one would not except the rubber grommet for the screw. Overall would buy again!

Go to relay for under hood/harsh environments
We've used these relays on fire service, police, and serious off road vehicles and I've never had a single failure in approximately 100 uses. Forest fire crew trucks see severe duty scenarios and as said before not a single failure with some installs being 20 years old. Recommended for anyone needing a relay to operate in any scenario possible including being underwater 3 ft. Easy to wire/hook up with the Hella pre-wired plug or with a plug kit to terminate yourself with even simple crimping tools. Highly recommend this Hella relay you won't be disappointed for years to come.

With HELLA brand name I was expecting a higher quality ...
With HELLA brand name I was expecting a higher quality versus a Chinese-sourced part. Unfortunately when this item arrived it too was made in China, and probably in the same factory as other lower-priced knock-off models. It does work and function as stated and has not failed yet, but yet another situation where an established company has outsourced manufacturing.
