This is my first purchase of cleaning gel. I didn't know what to expect after reading the negative reviews and seeing some of the pictures. But after trying the product out, I would recommend then and buy again myself and have.Here are my tips.You can use just a portion of the container. I let mine ooze our about 1/4 of the container and then pressed the ooze against the lip of the container to separate it. It's good to use a portion to test out.The gel should be kneaded and rolled into a ball. When you're first using it and after kneading the gel into ball, leave it on a flat SMOOTH surface. Watch how long it takes to flatten. There are gel's of different thickness, but I think if work with it, you can better understand how to use it.You should store used gel separately from unused gel. Plastic sandwich bag works well. But if it's not air tight, the gel dries out and can ruin it. Use the second container container for separating clean and used gel when you have used enough.Cleaning the keyboard. After kneading the gel and go over the keyboard with the gel fairly quickly. You should notice that the gel may not have enough time to ooze or clean between the keys. Then go more slowly while you're pressing the gel into the keyboard. You'll notice gel ooze between the keys and clean between them. Use different speed and pressure. If you go too slow, the gel will start to stick to the key and pull away from the gel. This is when you need to roll the gel back to pickup the separating gel. I don't go slower than this.What ever you do, do NOT leave the gel on the keyboard !!! or on a surface where you will ooze and drip into sometime valuable or fibrous. A golf ball size of the gel will ooze into a flat disc, I would say in about 20 seconds. Just put in a sandwich bag or back into the container or another air tight container.If you leave the gel on cloth it will likely not be able to separate from it well if at all. Instructions do say NOT to use on cloth and other materials.Things I've used the gel on and feel it works very well: keyboard, electronics, home wireless phones, camera equipment (use with caution and on the body if at all - not the glass!). In the car, it works very well IMO, I've used them on vents, door handle where the window buttons are, shifter knob and was able to pull dust out the cover around the base of the shifter knob. I've used them to clean out the grill of an air filter.In the car, I did have some residue left (at first) like the picture from the review with the cup holder. I just rolled the gel back over the residue to pick up back up. You can always reclean the area with microfiber cloth and cleaning solution also. Worked great for me in the compartment between the seats as the gel was able to clean the crevices where the screws were.It may be possible you're gel is too runny from the start. I would say if you can't roll the gel into a ball or it pours out instead of oozing out, I would say you have a bad batch. It may be temperature sensitive also. Maybe try refrigerating the gel if you're is too runny (just a suggestion, I haven't tried this).Downsides: it can be 're-used' but only up until the material turns dark. It can't be washed like a cloth and re-used again. But cloths can't into the crevices like the gel can, so this gel definitely has it's uses. Good to use a cloth first I suppose if you're looking to make the gel last longer.Good luck if you end up getting this!

I bought this to detail my car and keyboard and I wish I hadn't bought it.First, it says in the description online that it is reusable but it's not. Says so on the package. Then, when you take it out it sticks to everything . . . your hands, your keyboard, etc., and it leaves a greasy wet residue. I couldn't get it off my hands and threw it away after using it for a few minutes. Had to wash my hands and still couldn't get it all off.This is probably the worst product I've bought off Amazon; I'm a verified purchaser. Don't waste you're time or money.

Not sure why this product has so many great reviews because it was awful. Left a greasy residue on everything it touched and barely cleaned anything from the car as advertised. Returning immediately. Maybe it works better for keyboards but your keys would be greasy afterwards too so I can’t imagine this product is good for anything. Also the little brushes that come with it are pointless and cheap.

The product never firmed up it was like runny slim. It was also very hard to get off my hands. So I trashed it. It's something i wouldn't put of my keyboard or anything else. The two jars I received did not look anything like what is shown in the picture being thick and manageable.

After using for first time, i can't get all of my hand , it looks like liquid, This product is very runny and almost liquid. It took well over 20 min to get it mostly off my hands and back into the jar. This will not clean anything and simply doesn't work at all.

Nicely cleans where others can't. Gets into all the crevices and grabs the dust and /or small crumbs. Moist but won't damage like using a sprayer or wet sponge. Great for removing dust from old model trains. Gentle.

Have not tried it in our car yet, but I love it to clean my designer bags. It's great for cleaning areas inside that can't be reached. It's not super tick to "rinse" and re-use, so I use a small amount and toss. Well worth it for the price. Will buy again.

Product arrived quickly. Comes with 2 packs of putty as well as the cleaning tools! Works great to pick up all the dust and crumbs from the car. Quick and easy which I need in my life. love it!
